what time does the event actually start according to the tickets? 5:30pm Bris time, right?

I'm pretty sure my original ticket had a door time of 2.30 and a show time of 3.30.

Just watching Collision now, and watching Toni's promo it suddenly all clicked for me.

"Timeless Toni" was her take on Bette Davis' character from Who's Afraid of Baby Jane, where her character Jane is a former child star.

Now she's the former (child) star who has been usurped. Mariah May is her Blanche.

Except she's not. They cleverly changed it.

At this point of the story, Mariah May is Eve from All About Eve, who got close to Bette Davis' character Margo and ultimately usurped her.

As we get to the end of this film - which is incredible, I don't watch heaps of "old Hollywood", but All About Eve is a great film - Eve follows the same path and makes the same mistakes as Margo, and the film ends with it being clear that Phoebe is about to do the same thing to Eve... but Phoebe is just a little smarter, and a little more devious and dastardly.

I don't know who "normal Toni Storm" is at this point. Timeless Toni was an act. Toni Time is an act, she's about to get close to Mariah and lull her into a false sense of security.

I do know that when Toni wins the belt back - hopefully in Brisbane - it's going to be even more evil, dastardly and crazy than what Mariah did to Toni.

We're not supposed to know where her character begins and ends at this point (other than thinking she's Bette Davis I guess), cos there's some inception going on here.

Toni never played the Bette Davis' Margo character. She did play Bette Davis' Baby Jane character. So they've retconned the ageing child star Baby Jane to be Margo, allowing Mariah to be Eve, which has now led to Toni going straight to becoming Phoebe.

Hopefully that all makes sense, I'm high, and I think I'd struggle to explain the idea on my best day, cos it's supposed to be complex.

I think the All About Eve parallels are absolutely true.

What do I think happens?

I want a Linda McMahon getting out of the wheelchair kind of moment - us realizing that Toni has known what's she's been doing the entire time ...

It's as simple as Toni attacking her with a shoe.

And that simplicity will make it incredible.

Great Texas Death match opener between Hangman and Daniels.

That Toni Storm promo with Schiavone was fun.

lmao at Bowens turning the scissor into a middle finger at Caster. Caster calls him "Bad Decision Bowens".

Hold up? People are really defending Khan here? I would accept the extended contract if he planned to use him. But he is simply forcing this guy to lose a year of his career out of pettiness. This injury time didn't get added on til it was clear he was out the door. That is ****ed up no matter who is doing it.

Tony Khan has signed these people because he wants to use them. His talents contracts are being tampered with and they are either refusing bookings (Ricky Starks), or want out early (Fenix).

People said Tony Khan was too nice a guy. He'd get walked all over if he just let everyone leave whenever they want. Would make contracts completely pointless.

At least Jade Cargill for example did her job on the way out. Shook hands and left.

If Tony should be hard on anything, he needs to tap Jericho on the shoulder. Way too much time allocated when they have a tonne of talent far more capable.

Having Remsburg didn't help, but that finish to the Dax match on Collision the other week was horrible. That's not counting his continued sharp decline of general in ring work.

Nah, can't accept the "he signed a contract argument", it's weak.

Extending the contract for injury time, yeah I get it, I hated it when wwe did it also, but there's absolutely no reason to exercise the full option and tack on over a year.
And then to tell them they have no plans to actually use you at the time or in the future. And it was only done when dirt sheets started rumours that wwe was interested. They only even considered leaving because they were told there were no creative plans for them. It's so Petty to then extend him.

Khan has taken it a step further than wwe ever did though and is impacting Fenix ability to earn income - on the day his brother debuted they pulled all of Fenix merchandise off the AEW store. AEW merch is print to order, so you can't claim it ran out and they didn't want to spend money getting more. That is next level gross.

Corbin has posted supporting khan (guess he wants a job) saying you honour contracts and if he wasn't paid during injury time than he would see an argument for the release. But thats flawed thinking. Every other professional sport doesn't have or extremely rarely uses injury time extensions. And every sport still pays their employees when injured, even though they can't use them.
