Well, I have good news.

Ticketek are absolute balls. I don't think that's ever likely to change for as long as they're allowed to run an overpriced monopoly over venues.

But I'm glad that the people in the BECs accessibility team take their jobs really seriously, and I'm glad that the promoter TEG cared to right a wrong.

I suspect the earlier suggestion is what's happened - this morning the promoter have given them a seat that was set aside for someone important. It's not the one I was alluding to last night, it's another new one that they've put to me this morning, and it's one that I'm super happy with, I think it's the best of all the seats I've had/been offered. (Hard to know for certain at an old venue with a weird shape/layout that I've never been to.)

It's a good outcome, I was 99% out on Monday.

I'm currently watching Dynamite, and now all I wish is that I'd dropped the 90 bucks on the Toni cap and the FEEL THE WRATH tshirt.

The 20% off sale is now ended, and with only 4 and a bit weeks to go, and with PWTees coming off the back of a big sale, I'm no confident that I could make an order now and have it arrive in time. But they'll be the top of my shopping list on event day.

(Also, for those who are attending - I was just looking at my new ticket, and like most major events in Qld the ticket includes free train and bus transport. It's a bloody outstanding policy that more cities should've adopted.)

I don't know that I feel heaps better about what this show is after today. I guess they've mentioned it a couple of times, but aside from that one women's match, they're still not building to it. I guess we wait and see what happens after the Dynamite special next week. I'm obviously locked in now, so kind of just hoping for the best card possible.

There's some flecks of ideas there that I'd be happy to see.

• something involving Ospreay, Kenny, Kyle, and hopefully Takeshita would be incredible. (and I think Brian Cage is a very good sub for Takeshita.)
• I would be happy with Death Riders vs Rated FTR, or some permutation of that that also involves Hobbs or Darby (although I don't think Yuta will be in this match). I might actually prefer that to seeing an elderly "Cope" under a horrible new name in a singles main event slot.
• Yuta won't be in that match because I think, from a timing perspective, Jay White vs Wheeler is probably going to be the 2nd match announced.
• It's too early for Toni to win the belt again, but I'm going to be happy with the presumptive Mariah vs Toni match. (I wonder if they're setting up Harley to be involved as well.)
• The timing is probably going to be right for MJF and Jarrett. Next week is too close, Revolution is going to be too far away. Better to have them against each other than infesting 2 separate matches I guess. I don't expect Jarrett to be over in Australia, it's not a career trajectory that lends itself to a current of underground support.
• That Ospreay/Buddy match and post-match is sewing a seed today. Much as I'd love it to involve Melbourne wrestling royalty Adam Brooks (who Ospreay shouted out today), I don't think it does. I do however wonder if it's leading to a crisis of conscience and of leadership where we get Buddy vs Malakai. Not as a break up a angle, but more as an "I need to know" kind of angle.

I'm not as convinced on the timing of these ones for Brisbane:

• But Ricochet vs Hangman would be great.
• I wanna sing the Hurt Business song, but I'm also not sure about their timing with Private Party. I would've suggested something with Briscoe and a partner is more likely, but Briscoe pledged to never wrestle as part of another 2-man tag team.

All things considered, I decided not to share the not-publicly available BEC map, but if anyone who is going to the show has any questions about the set up I'm happy to try and answer them without breaching any confidences?

One thing I can say is that the broadcast block off (for cameras) appears to be bays 13/14. So section E and 43/43A are going to be the sections immediately behind the ring, who are on tv.

Another thing that I learned looking at the map - and that presented some of the difficulty this week - is that at the BEC, there isn't necessarily an aisle/stairwell in between bays. The "gap" in bays, might literally just be a 30cm space.

And assuming they're on the show, I think it's section J that's likely to be the "death riders corner".

I'm not 100% sure on seat numbers, but as far as I can tell, you're towards the right side of the bay? (You should be able to see that in my Ticketek)

Assuming I'm correct, and you're on the right side of the bay, I think yours is going to be a cracking spot. You're going to have a great view of the stage, the walkway and the ring I think.

I mentioned the other day that there are sections of the arena where only every second row is elevated, so being row D would be kind of a bummer. As far as I can tell though - and no guarantees, but as far as I can tell - you're in a section where every row is elevated above the one in front of it.

The whole bay next to you is blocked off white, whereas the production is all marked in black... I don't know what that means. (edit: There's a chance it's just a big "opening" where players enter the arena.)
