I’m actually looking forward to being able to wear a wrestling shirt out and not feel like a flog. I know I’ll look like one but at least I have an excuse to wear one.

It’s a shame that the AEW international shop only has the generic t shirt style. I’d prefer something a little more thin and fitted tbh.

I just priced Harley Cameron + a Toni Storm cap and I'm looking at nearly $100 Australian.

I think I'll be choosing from what I have!

I'd go Okada or Blue Sting, which looks timeless.

The blue Sting would be the most well-worn out of these, I wear it all the time cost it's such a great shirt that I'm very comfortable wearing anywhere. It'll be a strong contender I think.

I meant to like both posts that replied to me. I haven't watched the free stream or what you suggested. I've NEVER watched a free stream before, because the pop up ads and everything make it unwatchable (though I have torrented some wrestling in my time - so shoot me). I know others had mentioned paying for a full month on NJPW being cheaper than just getting the PPVs separately on Triller (which is what I normally do), so I was asking around to see what people did.

You can say whatever you like about the AEW Brisbane event, but people have every right to point out if they believe it's nonsense.

Ah, look - I didn't realise that the guy with all the t-shirts was the same guy I had disagreed with.

You're passionate, Nobby - that's good to see. I don't think the fact that Tony Khan hasn't announced matches yet or vigorously promoted a Brisbane live event to his American audiences will impact on whether it's a good event or not. They're normally pretty good at delivering on special events.

I don't really want to sign up to a new service or buy a whole PPV to see one match, though maybe I'll have to. I don't want to deal with free streams as the ads and everything are a bit too painful to deal with.

I'm gutted. I'm having the worst day. I didn't realise how much I cared.

I spoke to the venue last week, and they'd given me some comfort around the accessibility of my seat, and it being a low, but still raised seat - perfect, a little elevated, but not having to climb stairs, on an aisle, so I can stretch my back after every match (cos I literally can't sit for more than 30 minutes at a time).

So I started to feel good about going, started thinking about t-shirts, started trying to reconcile the likelihood of it being a house show.

They've called me back today, and everything they told me last week is wrong. It's not accessible. Ticketek didn't mark my booking as an accessible booking. So there's nowhere to move me. Doesn't appear like I can just upgrade or downgrade. And there's no one to even yell at, cos it's not the BEC's fault, and Ticketek - who don't give a shit about their own incompetence at the best of times - wash their hands of accessible bookings where the venue handles them in house.

It's not on an aisle. It's barely elevated, because the section of grandstand they have me in has every 2nd row on the same level as the one in front of it. So I'm half as elevated as I thought, and I'm staring at the back of someone's head. And being on the first level of rows would be great if you could enter through the ground level... but that's not the door my ticket allows me to enter through, and they would have to put a special note on my ticket for me to access the ****ing seat.

They've gone away to try and find some options and come back to me tomorrow. Which was for the best, I was about to lose it. I know it's not the BEC's fault, but given the day I've had today - I'm still dragging a dead leg behind me - I was about to yell at them for their repeated attempts to suggest that the dogshit they were offering me is just as good as what I have now (positionally, not from an accessibility perspective.)

Imagine if, after everything over the last week, I end up cancelling and Kenny ends up coming. Cos at the moment they haven't got a seat they can give me that is accessible, and they haven't got a seat that I think is equivalent to what I have now/had at Suncorp/is worth $315.

I know "card (and venue in this case) is subject to change", but it shouldn't be this ****ing hard.

edit: looking at the map, and at what's still available - there's nothing on there that I would accept for what I've paid. Unless they can find me an accessible seat that's reserved/not publicly accessible, I might be out after all.

What a shit of a day! Fingers crossed tomorrow fixes both issues.
