Good 4 way opener, creative finish with Speedball and Ricochet both getting the pin. And Ricochet cheated as well when he did his pin haha.

Legit thought Billie Starkz dropped Mone straight on her head during the TBS Title match.

wtf is Cope and Mox doing with that board with the nails!!! That's insanely dangerous doing a freaking suplex on that! Mox is a lunatic agreeing to do that holy ****. Also wonder why Dax keeps walking off and not shaking peoples hands.

When Toni Storm clotheslined Megan Bayne over the top rope, and Bayne landed on her feet, that reminded me of Kane. Toni Storm's promo though, I swear she's trying as hard as possible to see how far she can go before the TV stations send AEW a please explain on the stuff she says.

Im sure it’ll appeal to some but that Mox spot is as cringe as they get in this day and age.
Nah, I respect them for actually using that bat after reading it and comically dodging it so many fn times.

Just ridiculous that the payoff came mid random episode of Dynamite and not in the main event of the PPV a week earlier.

Why did this match exist? Was there even a "this is your very last shot at the title Cope"?

Look, I thought the spikes were gimmicked, when I saw it, I was like yep, never seen that before!

AEW is not competing with WWE, its a wrestling company that appeals to a more adult audience clearly

I love hardcore wrestling, and I thought that spot was ****ing stupid.

The potential for that to go wrong is so high.

And yeah, on a random episode of Dynamite? Why?

Not sure it’s needed at this stage of Cope and Mox careers either. I’ve only seen the clip , it just looks over the top, as dumb as the Mankind hell in a cell bumps which are just really not needed in these modern times.

Mox body is going to be ****ed when he’s done, he will be like a Mick Foley type all banged up.

Also wonder why Dax keeps walking off and not shaking peoples hands.
I thought we were going to get a FTR heel turn on Cope. might get there eventually?

I hope Toni isn't going all WCW Hacksaw Jim Duggan with a cartoonish taping of her wrist/fist now.

Looking forward to Ricochet vs Kenny vs Speedball at Dynasty.

Type of match with guys mixing it together that haven't really done so on a regular basis in AEW.

What has WWE got to do with the spikes?

I think the point is that AEW isn't trying to fight WWE for the PG market, it's trying to create a product that is more satisfying for an older audience.

That spot will be one of the legendary AEW spots that turns up in highlight videos in the future.
Don’t think WWE has anything to do with the spikes at all personally.

Everyone knows it’s catered to a different audience and I understand that.

Don’t think it was needed at all , bit over the top. I know Mox is a crazy son of a bitch but man his body is going to be stuffed. Hopefully he doesn’t turn to the bottle again when it’s all said and done.

straw poll:
Was the Mox-Cope match on Dynamite better than the one on the PPV?

I'm going with slightly better. (not that it's the be-all and end-all, but the Cagematch rating for the Dynamite match is far higher)

I think it was better, not just because a suplex to a nail filled plank of wood either... I just felt it flowed better, both the match itself and its placement within the show.

I was reading after Revolution that there was an alternate ending planned, and for whatever reason, it didn't go ahead (if anyone has further info on this, more than happy to hear more about it). I'm guessing what we saw on Dynamite was the original plan.

Presumably original plan was Luchasaurus costing Christian the title?

I thought it was pretty much a given that Luchasaurus was pretty much done? Or at least not expected back for a fair while yet?

A turn against Christian kind of makes sense though, given Wayne standing up for himself last week, but then makes no sense as he and Sabian were in to attack Cope in the streetfight. I dunno... I'm confused.

But its not out of the realms for TK to **** up the story, or part of. Seems to happen a bit when transitioning into new major stories and he pivots the story somewhat.

This is not going to go down well with the AEW faithful.

That Moxley spot, was ****ing stupid. He is extremely lucky that he isn’t currently a paraplegic. As it is, there is a huge probability of infection that will turn him into one, and quite frankly the dumb campaigner deserves it. There was absolutely no need for that spot, it was reckless stupidity on both their parts, as well as everyone else that was involved in that bullshit.

That was not wrestling, it was utter stupidity. It wasn’t even the finisher for Christ’s sake, so it meant nothing. It took over a minute for the board to be removed with what looked to be unsanitary nails.

I get that AEW wants to be the alternative to WWE, when it first started it was a breath of fresh air, especially with the crap that sex fiend Vince was dishing up at the time. Now how ever if AEW is going to serve shit like this, AEW can go and get ****ed if they think they are going to get my hard earned money with unnecessary shit like that. They are going to be lucky, if Time Warner or the TV company that they are currently on, will condone that shit. All it will take is some other impressionable idiot to try and emulate that, resulting in a massive law suit. WTF is Khan thinking? Is he trying to sabotage his own company? This is the type of thing that will turn main stream viewers away.

Those that want to defend this crap, then you’re just as big of an idiot as the two fools that participated in that spot. All it would have taken for a serious major injury or death to occur is a simple mistiming. As it stands, it wouldn’t surprise me if he ends up getting an infection, that could end up in paralysis. I know I won’t contribute to his go fund me if it it does occur.

Lol, calm down nan.

There is an entire medical team there. He's not wrestling in a Bunnings car park.

Anytime you're not bumping onto a flat surface, there's risk. You can roll through or trust the give of the mat to a degree, but it's going to hurt.

That kind of bump however is no more and is arguably less risky than many others taken in a wrestling ring.

Mostly your points are absolutely over the top and ridiculous though. They have a real air of moral panic about them.
