I agree that Jericho might have too much sway. I appreciate that it was a schmoz, I appreciate the interference at the end, I understand that Kingston immediately got his heat back throwing Jericho into the “spider web”…
But if you’re going to those lengths to keep Kingston strong, why not just have him win a feud for once? This is one that Kingston really needed, and with Jerichos guys unable to interfere it gave him an out as a heel.
They’re really missing some of their stars - but I guess they still have so much talent they aren’t using. I don’t think we’ve seen PAC since he won the Mickey Mouse title. They don’t use any of their women. I don’t remember seeing Andrade wrestle for a while. Buddy Matthews doesn’t wrestle, he just stands behind Malakai looking menacing. Christopher Daniels’ return was teased about 9 months ago - I think it resulted in one match in Impact (maybe another one in New Japan USA?). Dark Order don’t do anything despite being really popular. Hangman has gone from champ to afterthought.
Their problem at the moment isn’t injuries, it’s booking.

I will admit, that I wasn’t expecting much from this episode. A barbed wire everywhere match never appealed to me to begin with. I agree with most of the comments concerning the match. Just to nitpick a bit, with the well known issues between Claudio and Kingston at the end of the match, why would Claudio come out and help Kingston? It’s going to be great to see Danielson back in the BCC, as I think it will be Danielson that cuts the cord with the Kingston alliance, so will be interesting to see how Moxley reacts to that situation.
I enjoyed the best friends/bcc match, the only criticism from the match I have was with OC on commentary, especially when Regal was critiquing the best friends faction, where he was saying nothing to defend his stable mates.
It was great seeing Miro back, obviously going to team up with Sting and Darby to take on HOB. Ricky Starks is gold and should be considered one of the pillars. Loved the FTR promo, they are the best tag team in the business. Jay Lethal vs Daniels should be good on Rampage.
I do miss MJF as he is a brilliant antagonist, but heel Christian does match him in that regard, that would be an alliance worth seeing. Yeah jungle boy is back, was hoping that they kept Lucha heel, as he was more interesting. I just can’t see Jungle Boy being a main event star tbh.

They have about 20 people too many. which I think affects the booking, hopefully ROH gets a tv deal soon. So some of the roster can be transferred to ROH. I agree with your comments on PAC with his title, we still don’t know what the title stands for, it just feels like a title, because it’s a title, without any thought going into it. As for Andrade, I think he was recently injured.

The cage was suspended in the air. They weren't climbing out through the bars then.
Once it was lowered and they knew the key was coming they weren't going to suddenly be like 'oh hey, we fit through he bars!' It wasn't until they had to think on their feet that they realised it could work.
In kayfabe this made perfect sense reacting to something failing like a lock and key. You'd be focused on the lock and key until you realised you needed a plan B.

My problem is less to do with the shark cage & more to do with the barbed wire. It was cringy, overused & the match was a spot fest that didn’t flow.
Then having Kingston lose only to get his revenge made th ending look weak. Kingston should have won the match IMO

Holy shit I haven't watched AEW in a while but I heard that the Jericho vs Kingston match was garbage........they weren't wrong. Why they continue to give a fat, 6 months pregnant looking, useless piece of shit like Eddie Kingston TV time is beyond me.

Kingston / Claudio SHOULD be the match for All Out (it would have originally been Kingston/Danielson before Bryan’s injury and absence from B&G)
I think Kingston should be building the wins for an AEW world title match at Grand Slam in September.
Where did I say it's my idea? I said that's what's planned. Not what I'd like to happen at all but given Jericho beat and choked Bryan unconscious and he hasn't been able to perform since it's not horrible either.

It’s definitely not what is planned—- as I said above, it was abundantly clear before Danielson’s injury that the plan for All Out would have been Danielson/Kingston.
That’s why the two bickered in the lead up to Blood & Guts. Danielson would have been in the same spot as Claudio for B&G
