Personally, I take these things with a grain of salt until it is officially released through the club or I see it with my own eyes.

Until the club reports anything I'm going to believe my desk scissors when it told me Lachie had texted him and said everything was fine, he always cuts the crap.

Just remember that Hilly had shin splints 2 weeks before Christmas 2010 and the club didn't make it official until July 2011 so you may need to be patient and the sand is way too hot to bury your head in it.

He was running fine on Monday and I have been going to 2 or 3 training sessions a week since the start of this year and he has never come off grabbing his legs or complaining to trainers.

Plus, as I said above there were a few players missing from training today and there are still a pile of weeks between now and rd 1.

Everyone has said how hilly had such a down year!! I guess he did compared to the expectations put upon him. As bad as his year was he still ranked 4th for possessions and 6th for goals kicked at the club. The rest of the team may as well not turn up when he has his brownlow year!!!

Yep wasn't that long ago and we had the "this year is make or break for Hill" thread.

I agree with you Yaka.All played the season carrying injury.
Hard to knock players who play through injury, when all others are falling in a heap around them.

I am not sure what the process for injured players getting a game is, and I guess I assume every player who gets a game has been cleared medically, and the coach is told they are available. Doesn't mean they are 100%, but should mean they won't damage the injury.

Even so, the rationale for Mundy playing last season seems too much like a short-term gain, rather than a long-term decision.
