It's pretty standard at Fremantle to sign a player who is out of contract end of the following season up, announcing around Christmas like it's the Christmas present from the club.

It's Andrew Brayshaw this year. (link to follow). It's the big gift under the metaphorical tree. You know it, I know it. You don't have to be Darth Vader feeling the presence to know it's Andrew Brayshaw with that bow wrapped around him.
Next season is looking pretty bare though. Rules are you have to have a year to go on your contract and extend in December to count. If Nathan O'Driscoll has a massive year, or Sam Sturt, perhaps Matthew Johnson - if one of them makes AA in 2025 then they will be the extension.
