Done deal...The AFL FA compo picks can get stuffed...7 and Roughead for Gaff?
And?
There are literally hundreds of examples of teams that have missed finals that you’re more likely to follow, yet you compare yourselves to the one team which extraordinarily won the flag the following season and achieved something that has never happened before and most likely will never happen again. Forgive me for not understanding why you guys continuously refer to Richmond 2016. The two teams could not be more incomparable.Errr Richmond won the Premiership in 2017.
I feel more stupid now after explaining that to you.
If we don't secure Shiel he's coming to the Dons for pick 8 (and possibly an exchange of second rounders).
He's a free-agent
He's a free-agent
He’s contracted for next year...A restricted free agent. Dons would have to be able to offer cash that west coast couldn’t match.

Shiel? He's not a free agent.
Jesus... we're talking about Andrew Gaff, who is a restricted free agent.
So the compensation would be traded to North?Any deal should be more beneficial for both clubs if you can include an extra pick from AFL house into the mix.
Say hypothetically if North were willing to trade pick 10 for Gaff. Come to an agreement behind closed doors where we dont match and get pick 19 and then we could send pick 19 their way with Gaff for pick 10 and a second rounder.
So just to be clear, we would in fact be trading the comp pick to North? That way they upgrade a second rounder to pick 19 and we get an extra second rounder on top of pick 10. Or something like that anyway. Adding in the compo though can be beneficial for both clubs in a trade.
So the compensation would be traded to North?
The AFL would also have to approve any trade. How would 19 for 10 + 30 be justified?
So just to be clear, we would in fact be trading the comp pick to North?
So what are you talking about? There are endless hypotheticals to how it could be used. Some could include trading it to North, others won't. Im not suggesting any trade in particular.
Because you're not suggesting anything in particular?
Yeah we're done here mate
Because you're not suggesting anything in particular?
Can you please explain how a compo pick appears if we trade for Gaff? The compo pick happens if Gaff goes to another club as a free agent. So? I never said i would. Only point was that if North and West Coast want to try to work out a trade it helps both teams c9me to an agreement if the compo pick is included in the mix
So North would get the comp pick as well as Gaff? So? I never said i would. Only point was that if North and West Coast want to try to work out a trade it helps both teams c9me to an agreement if the compo pick is included in the mix
