I was listening to Dermie Brereton on SEN....He described Travis Tuck as "Galaxy" ...a top bloke.....but ...way out there.....:D

Yere I was talking about Shane Tuck from Richmond. His record in the last 4 year's Richmond B & F's is incredible. Not to mention his stats. He virtually led everything from hard ball gets to possessions. Can't understand why he has been flicked.

I reckon we could get 3-4 good year's out of him.

Sorry just that both Tucks are up for trade.....Travis & Shane..I'd like to land both at Brisbane.. Part of the AFL pedigree breeding programme Tuck marrying the Ablett daughter..

I'm not going to discuss what we should or shouldn't get for Lovett as the clubs will work out what they see as a fitting price tag independent of big footy (Hard to believe i know!!)

My question is about Rischitelli and his ability or lack of for playing as an inside mid.

I know recently has played more as a HFF but i seem to remember him playing on the ball a year or so ago and seemed to show a reasonable ability win clearances.

Essendon have always had a high impression of him but i'm wondering why he hasn't had a good run as an onballer for you recently?

Is it because of Blacks outstanding ability and the recruitment of Rich or is there a weakness he has that us casual watchers of Brisbane games don't see.

Thanks.

Rischitelli can indeed be good at the clearances. He doesn't have the pace to be a gun at it every week and likewise, he does just tend to bang it on the boot with a long bomb once he gets his hands on it. It can work out alright, but it's probably not the way that teams really set up when coming out of the centre.

I guess the other thing about Rischitelli is that he is not quick enough to get on a chain of disposals unlike the best midfielders going around. Once he's had his disposal, he's pretty much cooked in that passage of play.

For someone who isn't all that fast though, Rischitelli does make up for it with his hardness at the contest and his work ethic. He can kick a goal as well and generally makes solid decisions when disposing of the ball.

He's no gun, but I reckon he's the sort of player that could turn out to be a reliable and experienced foot soldier in a good team.

Agree 100% with Stocka on this one. Riska is pretty good at his inside work, i think he has a very good sized body and he knows how to use it. He has torn games open in one quarter getting a chain of clearances, but is a bit patchy with this, which i think is due to his speed. He isn't that fast at full tilt, and is too quick at getting to top speed either, which in close leaves him a bit exposed at times. But, with the right match up, can win a lot of ball.

As Stocka said though, with the speed means once he gets the ball and dishes it off, he generally wont be involved in that play again. Bombers have a pretty fleet footed group though, so that might not be a problem.

I think just with our midfield structure, we just havn't found room for him on ball, which has pushed him out to HF, where he can't do his best work. Upon saying that, i think he is ok at getting himself open and being a target. He has a pretty good kick on goal and can hit them from 50-55 meters, so even at HF, he can contribute a few goals.

Without trying to push for this trade, i think Riska could fit in very well in the bombers team. Im not sure if a Riska trade would happen, but he probably wouldn't be too bad for the bombers at all.

Seems that we are pretty much out of the race for Lovett.

Port or Freo will get him.

Where'd you hear that?

Tangentially, I suspect Lovett will be one of the last deals done.

Thanks for the feedback stocka and chopper.

Voss didn't sound like he had much interest in Lovett but they all play games so who knows.

It would be unlikely you would want to trade away your first pick for him so if it was to happen it would most likely be a combination of a player and picks both ways.

You have been very active so far so might be happy with what you have done so far and might just pick kids in the draft now.

Freo pulled out of the race? Source? They were apparently offering big money compared to us.

I wouldn't be suprised if he ended up at Port along with essendon's first pick for SB

Chris Bond did confirm this at the end of the end of the day. Whilst I hope we make a play for him it seems unlikely with the amount of new players traded to the club. Below is the link to Adam Whites twitter page where he has quoted Bond.

Has a real attitude problem apparently. I don't know if i want him in our team.

Lovett has an attitude problem, yet we look at Fev. I have a feeling we are not concerned about trouble players. How quickly we forget Aker.

To be honest thought I think we can handle Lovett, he would be a good addition and a new scene can do wonders.
