Macca's going to be great, I have no doubt about that in my mind whatsoever. Intelligent man and knows what he's doing. Good get by the club.

As for that idiot having a go at Silvagni, STFU. The guy can do whatever he feels is best for him. He is a legend have some respect. The guy bled for the club when he was out on the field. I'll never forget it was 97 against the Eagles down here, we had the game well and truly won, SOS runs about 30 meters and takes a diving mark and in the process slams his head on the ground and knocks himself out. Didn't care about the score, didn't care about himself, committed and put the team first. It's a small incident that very few will remember but it sent a message to everyone out there that this guy is willing to put himself on the line for his team.

Oh and he also had to do the job on some of the best forwards the game had ever seen, and he did it with no complaints and he thrived on the challenge. FB of the century for a reason.

SOS won't come back while Sticks is there....There is strained relationships between many of the '95' boys. All stems from the salary cap issue, some spoke out and opened their mouths, other's were not happy. I highly doubt that we would've been caught if people just shut their mouths!

I was just wondering will this strained relationship that SOS and the others have affect our ability to pick up SOS's kids as a F/S if there good enough? Does SOS have a negative attitude towards our club now? If anyone has any insight could you please explain.

No, Brown told the AFL to **** off. He was away from the club and had no way of knowing who the AFL had been approaching in order to tell them to shut their mouths. I think you might get getting the stories and myths muddled.

Possibly a personality clash but SOS is probably not still haunted by the events of 2002. He has moved on and made something of himself and good on him.

And we put ourselves in a position to be. Our own fault, as much as it hurt back then.

What? Why on earth would Brown be lurking now? More money than Visy? Carlton are stable now and I would be very disappointed if anybody was lurking and could potentially destabilise the club. Brown was allegedly lurking when Smorgon was President. Are you sure your information doesn't come from back then?

On the contrary, whenever you involve politics, you usually find people wanting to use the club for their own purposes or to hold it up as a status symbol, rather than a collective of people willing to work together to do what is best for the club.

While we have largely survived because of rich benefactors, I would feel much better if Carlton was known as a people's club, and our supporters got out of the mentality that someone will ride in on their white horse and save us if things get too hard. It's the reason I feel we don't have the membership we should have and probably don't erase our debt as fast as some. Our sense of entitlement holds us back a bit.

Everybody in, everybody doing what they can with what they have. Nobody leaving it up to someone else. That's really what No Passengers encompasses.

I think your missing my points.....never claimed SOS was wrong or anything to come back but obviously certain factors have shaped his decisions and he has avoided the chance that he no doubt had to come back to Carlton.

As for Brown, I'm referring more to a challenging of the board with his own people rather than having more money than Visy. Maybe the way i put words with 'lurking' etc opens it up more and says more than what I actually mean. Plus, I have heard (could be wrong) that he was one that encouraged people like braddles and SOS to not say anything but they opened up thinking it was the best move, in the end it can be argued whether it increased the punishment or downgraded it due to their honesty.

About carlton and politics....there's no doubt it has always been a very complexed culture full of real intrigue and so many different stories etc so that's what i mean there.

SOS and SOSOSs are at almost every Carlton game and spend plenty of time down at Visy.

Yeah no doubt they still love carlton and have a deep connection with the place but certain factors are no doubt stopping him from working at carlton in an official capacity. If it is personal strained relations I wish they would all just make-up, sort it out, get back on the same page and be a part of getting Carlton right back to its glorious state!

I have seen SOS and his sons at a fair few Blues games in the last few years,so definitly cant question his love for the club.

I think we shouldnt have all of our ex players fill our footy admin roles, its good to have people from outside environements, and same goes with SOS its not necessarily a bad thing for him to be at another club, plus the fact that the coin he is on at GWS would be pretty good.

And again I ask, why on earth anybody that loves Carlton would feel the need to challenge the board at the moment? Are they stuffing up? Dragging the club backwards? Change for the sake of change is not necessary. I still feel you are reacting to rumours of previous years as that was rumoured when Smorgon was in charge.

Browny wasn't at the club, so I highly doubt he was behind the scenes advising other players what to say. It was made public that Browny told the AFL where to go, but there has never been any speculation that he told the others what to say.

Whether SOS and Bradley going forward increased the penalties or not, it certainly helped to clean the slate so we only got smacked the once instead of being the gift that keeps on giving. In hindsight, it was probably the smart move.

Yes, not always to be celebrated though.

Good work by the Blues, always loved him as a player and is another person who loves the Blues. Very smart man as well, good to see we are working our way back to the top in every department.

You are forgetting Serge himself and Joe! They sit on level 2 front row on the wing right above me at Etihad home games...

The whole family also rocks up to practice matches

Sticks was part of the board that asked SOS and Bradley to open their mouths. Both did not talk until Collo and board had said a deal was done with the AFL all we have to do is come clean. Then steps in the ****ing **** Ron Evens and ****ed us.

I hate that man so much, he is a crook and i would piss on the dogs grave.

It will be interesting to see how he goes with the contractual side of things, something Icke was supposedly an expert in - the cap squeeze might begin to hurt when Goddard arrives ;)

That is why I hope Mike Fitzpatrick remains just where he is, as great as he would be in a role with the Blues, the difference in our treatment by the AFL pre and post Fitzy has been like night and day.
