Maybe that's just me though, but I reckon most kids (boys especially) would be in the same boat.

And if the kid is angry or mentally ill, they aren't listening to their parents.

If the parents are abusive, then sending them to jail is an added bonus for the killer.

A body believed to be of the suspect in a Kentucky highway shooting that left five people seriously injured this month was found on Wednesday, the authorities said, ending a manhunt that stretched into a second week and set the local community on edge.
The Kentucky State Police commissioner, Phillip Burnett Jr., said in a Wednesday night news conference that at approximately 3:30 p.m., two troopers and two civilians found an unidentified body in the brush behind the highway exit where the shooting occurred. Unwanted and excess children who would have been mistreated and grown up without opportunities and led into a life of crime did not happen due to legalisation and widespread abortion access beginning in the 70s. By the time the 90s rolled around these likely crooks didn’t exist.

Sounds incredibly harsh but it’s been documented. In the 2040s we’re likely to see a spike in crime in the US states that have recently banned abortion due to the reverse effect.

Abortion has helped I agree. But there will be numerous reasons why crime rates have come down. Higher wealth and less poverty being a big reason.
