They keep taking the high road and getting obliterated on the low road.

They're going to lose multi-cultural seats because they can't be bothered calling Dutton the obvious racist that he is.
It's a bit more complex than that. As much as I agree with your solution in principle, the reality is we wouldn't just be thumbing our nose at Israel, but also our closest ally, the USA. I'd love our government to tell them to GAGF, but it's never going to happen.

There's no such word as "semetic". No surprise at the lack of spelling ability or even utilising a basic spell check function though. 👍

My point is, when you bring the Israel hatred into this thread it invariably morphs into a debate on Israel vs Palestine which is not the topic of this thread.

Can we have at least one thread on this forum that is about Australian politics?

If Israel is to be brought up here then it ought to be about how it hurts/aids the two major parties in the upcoming election.

There was a survey of Australian public earlier in the year where the clear take away message was majority didn't want to take sides in the matter. I'm not sure being super strong supportive of israel is such the strong vote winner as LnP/Murdoch may think

the dreyfus supplication to israel is front and square about aus politics.

here’s a thought, if it’s beyond your capacity to see the connection perhaps this is not the thread for you.

We used to justify our partnership with the US because we supposedly had common beliefs. I think with the further slide of the US into oligarchy and continual breaching and ignoring of international law and the UN, I don't believe we have as much in common with the US as we did in the 70's-90's.

Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan have all been failures to which Australia should never have contributed. The US were one of the last countries to oppose apartheid in Sth Africa.

Australia has a lot more in common with EU nations, and more shared interests with SE Asia. We should be moving much further in that direction with our foreign policy and our supplication to the US hinders that.

Multiple times Australia has found itself in trouble with our largest trading partner (China) because of us following the US's policies to significant economic damage.

I would have thought something to do with the AG is about Australian politics????

Will Albo show up to the AO this year. After yours truly began the chorus of boos last year against him and the crowd dutifully followed, maybe his hiding scared not wanting to face up to the public. I look forward to greeting him at RLA this year with the same response, my vocal chords are rested.

Good Country Australia. Brunetti T4: $10.70 for a small, not even freshly squeezed orange juice. The bigs keep getting bigger under Albo.

If he had the guts he would take back the jobkeeper money his mates at the big companies took from the public purse. But no, you get punished at the hip pocket with rising prices in flights, groceries, electricity and gas.

Keep voting for the failed uniparty

You're the one who brought up the concept of hatred for an ethnically related group, in response to a post which had nothing to do with that (i.e. objection to the actions of a government/military and how Australian politicians interact with them).

You can't pull the "it'll distract us" card now.

Lie 1 :crossmark: (debt has increased)
Lie 2 :crossmark: (inflation means your tax cut is redundant anyways)
Lie 3 :crossmark: (everything is still going up stop listening to the lies)
Lie 4 :crossmark: (many people working 2 jobs now to stay afloat due to underemployment and inflation)
Lie 5 :crossmark: (they are not dropping interest rates they've told us they would have for the year)
Lie 6 :crossmark: (another huge lie, labor talking down nuclear which is proven overseas for dodgy renewables)

Can't spin C101 bs meter. Happy new year

I can recommend a few good Introduction to Economics books for you... I'm not even going to bother trying to correct your mistakes here.

They inherited sky rocketing inflation from a government that relaxed banking Lending rules in the middle of a pandemic driving house prices up and allowing young families to borrow more than they could afford… to get into the housing market. Something that hasn’t been discussed enough. It was criminal

If that was your point why did you throw in a reference to antisemitism like it’s not the most contested word in existence right now?
