When you think about it, next year will be Sydney's best chance at a flag in the coming seasons. My reasoning is thus:

1) They are playing pretty consistently at the moment. Have the weirdest forward line in the AFL but still managing to win the games they should be. Obviously currently not able to compete with Geelong/Collingwood, but building alot of depth

2) Next trading period will be very big for the Swans, as the retirement of Bolton and Bradshaw will open up a huge space in the cap to retain the current best 22 and chase someone to plug Bradshaw's gap.

3) Their veteran stars (Goodes, J. Bolton, O'Keefe et al) are playing good football but everyone knows things can go downhill quickly when you're past 30. They should all hopefully be still playing and fit for the 2012 season.

I hope i get to see another Swans premiership without having to wait decades:(

In my defence, at the time I wrote that he was caring an injury. He finished the season strongly and I stopped whinging.
Haha, I figured, it was worth a giggle, 6 months in AFL is a LONG TIME.

Heart rate really lowered mid page 4.
Was sitting there worried I may have been one who may have been provon wrong.
Luckily I didn't say a word.

What all these bumped mispredictions say to me (and in fairness I should say there's some good solid reasoning alongside the usual partisan idiocy) is that anyone who bets on sport is a f****ing numbskull.

Like the old saying goes, it's no coincidence that the fanciest cars in the racetrack parking lot are the bookies'.
