Round 15 - Mid week training session.
Grundy's new hairdo makes his arse look massive!!!
Round 15 - Main session. June 24th, 2021.
The rebab boys were out first. This included.
Begg
Greenwood
Reef
Howe
Johnston.
They did some footy skills. And lots of running.
Around 10am, the rest of them arrived on the track.
P.S I saw Tyler Brown coming into the club, in a sling. I imagine he would be starting his rehab inside.
De Goey participated, then did a whole block of running later in the session.
Split into Team A v Team B per usual. And like normal, there will be those in team B who will play this weekend.
Team A (Black)
- IQ
- Grundy
- Elliott
- Bianco
- Noble
- Pendles
- Adams
- Cameron
- Sidebottom
- Roughy
- JT

About 10 mins after the boys had already stretched and warmed up, done some drills; did some late comers arrive to the party.
Chugg, Tohil, McCreery, Henry. They were left to warm up by themselves overlooked by a trainer, while the others continued onto with drills.
Looks like we have decided that Kelly is a forward. At least for the rest of this year lol Lined up in the forward line. And Harvey confirmed it this afternoon.
Cal is back in the midfield.
Macrae on the wing.
I saw Rantall down forward. Seems they are gonna do what they did with Daicos and Cal. In his early part of his career, because of his body frame, garner him some experience in the forward line. Even though he is a midfielder, but he's be smashed in the middle. Bit like next year you won't see Nick Daicos in the middle, probably half back.
You could see there was some changes made, and that they were trying to move the ball better to get a bit more attacking. But lets see if that comes off on saturday.
Adams and Grundy are certain starters. Both looked good today and got through the session very well. I'd say that Adams looks a lot more ready now than he did the last time he came back after his knee.
Ruscoe definitely back in his rightful place. The backline where he excelled in his U18, and its what they recruited him as. He is so much more comfortable there from the outside eye than up forward.
Reef itching closer to a return. He was doing a bit more today, as he ramps up his footy skills. Probably a few more weeks then he'll be back in the footy program.
Murphy in defence.
Madgen too.
Just saving it for game day hahaThanks for the update Jen - good to see the boys back out on the track.
One minor note - any chance in that second video that Tay could hit his team mate on the tit from 10m away? Four kicks went in four completely different directions.
He's the next Polly Farmer. So he’s not the next Reiwoldt?
Well given the coach had been with buckley for years who this is his game plan too. Nothing will change until a new coacheven with a new coach nothing's changed
get the ball 1st instinct look back then inside 3 or 4 times dont do anything then down the line turn over
not hitting targets with little chip passes
PLAY AS YOU TRAIN
Well given the coach had been with buckley for years who this is his game plan too. Nothing will change until a new coach
See your point Jen and said the same in the gameday thread defending Harvey
but surely he'd be trying smaller different things at training to transition into games
I'm only going by your videos can you see different things live
He said he had been trying to change things up, and sometimes I do see little bits at training. I thought our ball movement was better on the weekend, just not as consistent.See your point Jen and said the same in the gameday thread defending Harvey

Any thoughts on selection Jen?He said he had been trying to change things up, and sometimes I do see little bits at training. I thought our ball movement was better on the weekend, just not as consistent.

I very much doubt he is in the conversation tbhAnd this is why I hope to christ that he doesn't get the job next year even if he wins out the season
sorry a bit of TD for emphasis

Round 16 - Mid-Week training.
Lovely sushine morning, what a nice day to watch some training. First up I noticed the new kid from Senegal at his first training session for us. he is a decent height, a couple pre-seasons and lots of knowledge and skills sessions will go a long way.
The VFL boys came out first. This included the usual suspects in Wellings, Schrieber, Tardrew and Lane.
Poulter, Noble, Crisp and Daicos did some running laps, as the others began the drills.
These type of sessions, skills sessions players tend to do what they think they need. Whether its more conditioninng, more skills etc.
Reef and Howe did some running, but Reef was involved in some drills. But with the yellow no contact cap on. But he won't be too far away now.
Johnston didn't seem too bad either, was kicking the ball well, so his finger can't be too far off from fully healed. He was doing some kicking motions with Begg and Roo.
Some marking drills with some of the defenders/forwards. Bit of match play was also included.
Someone I spoke to, mentioned he had spoken to Begg and that while he thinks he can play some games this year, his shoulder wasn't yet as strong as they would like at this point. Sorry kid, you're being put on ice.
Yaah, not a real surprise given his lack of knowledge and experience in the sport.Bassirou's skills look as bad as Cox's when he first picked up a footy. The club and Cox got his skills up to a reasonable standard albeit one with a few limitations.
Main training session - Round 16.
The rehab boys was the first out to do some extra things before everyone else ventured out.
Reef.
Begg
Johnston
Howe
Appears McCreery was inside in the gym.
Reef and Howe are progressing nicely. Even participated in some drills. But mostly they did lots of running.
Johnston did some drills with Reef, and also with the new Kid, Roo.
Begg was still on bis running program, but had some shots at goal afterwards.

Drills. Match play.
They did seem to be trying some new things. Trying to move the ball better. All we ask is not to be stagnant with the ball movement.
Toward the end of training, I look behind me, a bus turns up -- and these blokes walk in. Must be using the gym or planning on training. - At least its not Port. They might steal some designs lol Or the jumpers
