Forever, i don't think so. AFL will bring you guys down when u r on top for too long. With collingwood on top atm, it brings in good crowds. If collingwood stays too long on top, it will threaten the authority of AFL ruling class and they will step in and take action.
The kind of action that could be taken is irrelevant as AFL can find any excuse. The easiest would be breach of salary cap, that means 2 million dollar fine, loss of draft picks for 2 years, no premiership point for a whole season.
Collingwood will never be ManU the cos only real powerhouse is in AFL is the AFL board, not anyone club and they will not allow anyone cluc to challenge its authority.
