Still not sold on Mayne. Balla isn't the greatest scorer either. I would probably start Rockliff on the field and downgrade Mayne to Rohan

Either Mayne or Ballantyne are great options for that price.

If Ballantyne stays fit he'll average 70+ this year imo.

I'm just about settled on my team, but I keep second guessing myself over Hille. I read that he played well over the weekend, but it's his time in the ruck that concerns me. If he rucks a reasonable amount I reckon he'll average 75-80, but if he plays more forward I expect he'll cap out at around 65.

Is anyone able to tell me how much time he spent in the ruck on the weekend ? I assume Ryder was the first choice ruck, but a rough % for Hille would be great.

Sorry if this has been asked...

Brent Prismall, going into his 5th year avg of 95 last year, heard he has had an ok preseason....?

Would you expect him to become a gun this year or will he cop some more attention from taggers?

Not many people at all have him so could be abit of a smokie

Stiffler, Myers pre season has been patchy...pretty sure he's had a few injuries and has a slight hammy that kept him out of saturday's prac v richmond...i have high hopes for him but nothing so far to suggest he's having more luck than last year.

Sydney, I have Pris in my side...apparently he has had an uninterrupted pre season for the first time in a couple of years...dunno what he scored on sat v richmond but he seemed a little quiet from what i saw (about 3/4's).
Irrespective, barring injury i can't see him losing value, and there's a pretty good chance this pre season will set him up for a better year than last.

Hi, alright so I'm thinking of getting Dempsey for DT after reading your match thread against Richmond. Just a couple questions

Will he mostly play on the wing with your lack of half backs?
Why did he score so bad in the 3rd practice match?

1. Apparently Knighter might experiment with him on the wing, but he's probably better off the HBF
2. Dunno, ask someone who went there

I reckon he'll play 50-40-10 between ruck-forward-bench, but not sure atm

just a question to anyone that saw the game on the weekend. how much tog will hille play in rnd 1. and how many possesions would he have had on the weekend.

thankyou very very much in advance

Hi guys. ANy chance of Darcy Daniher getting a game? I have him on my bench at present but I am thining that at 80,000 more expensive than a rookie that is probably a bad choice.

Has had a very decent preseason, but can't seem to crack the seniors. I wouldn't get him.

From all reports had a great preseason, so there's a good chance he could have a break out year. He's got a lovely kick and he can rack up SC points. The only issue is getting selected, once he's in the side he'll probably stay in. He's not in my side but he's probably worth the punt, but I've gone 3 cheaper options who I think will score better. (Kennelly, Hunt, Ladson)

Houli - breakout season or still too much of a risk?

Put him in your team when he gets a game.

I suspect that he will get a few games to prove himself and he is a ball magnet.

Just wanted to check with Essendon supporters if everyone was as bullish as I am on Jobe this year? - was always going to be my first player chosen for SC this year & I think he is a sneaky chance for brownlow this year if he can kick a few more goals from the midfield this year...

I also are quite keen on Myers and are putting last year down as second year blues; will he start R1 and if fit and form stays strong is he in Essendon's best 18.

I think he (Myers) will get games, TM. If you look at our 22 there's probably 2 or 3 spots for smalls still well and truly up in the air. Lonergan sometimes gets in, Houli sometimes, Myers sometimes, and so on. If he's going to kick on, he'll grab that spot.

That's the issue really. Again he has had an injury interupted preseason. Was rested last weekend because of hamstring tightness. When fit he will be a key player for Essendon as a clearance player helping out Watson. Right at the moment Knights is still trying to play him as a half back flanker in a Goddard type role and even though he can rack up the DT points I don't think he is suited to that role.

I would hold off getting Myers at this point in time.

I thought Jobe would easily get most brownlow votes for us last year, and winderlich ended up with the same amount of votes with stanton just behind, I dont think i can see much difference this year with the 3of them taking votes off each other!! however maybe he will get noticed by the umps more with his captaincy status. if he has improved disposal in the off season cant see any reason why his scores couldn't improve a bit!!

as for Myers, i guess it depends what their plans on after the hamstring scare of a couple of weeks ago, id say if he trains well the next 2weeks he might get a start... still too hard to guage on best 18-22 status, and i dont think anyone is overly confident on him staying fit at this stage!!

By all reports (not just ones through rose-coloured glasses) Jobe is fitter, faster and has improved his footskills by a fair bit. Hopefully this along with help from Spike, Myers, Hocking, etc some preasure will come off and he can flourish even more. If the team gets a good run with injuries then he very well could be a sneaky chance for the Brownlow.

As for SC barring injury he should average more then last year so you'll get your monies worth. He's currently in my team but I've been thinking about down grading him to Prismall simply for scope on improvement and to free up cash to bolster other positions. Might come down to a flip of a coin.

thoughts on hille how did he go on the weekend.
how muck ruck time will he play round one.
is he back to normal yet
him or nicnat
