LANDGRAF SECURES MAIDEN TITLE

Austrian wildcard Ralf Landgraf has secured his maiden title by winning the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships on the weekend. He had to fight off stiff competition including the top two seeds Feliciano Lopez and John Isner to win it. In the final, Landgraf won the first set 7-5 before slipping 2-6 in the second. He bounced back to break Lopez' serve at 4-3 and win 6-3 to take home the title.

SHARPLES CLAIMS FOURTH TOURNAMENT

BRITISH young gun Dom Sharples has taken out his fourth tournament for the year. It was the biggest of all, taking home the BNP Paribas Open, also known as Indian Wells. He stunned the crowd making his way to the final, defeating Roger Federer, Stan Wawrinka and then finally Novak Djokovic to win the crown. He took out the final 6-2 6-2 in top style as he moved up to number 17 in the world rankings.
