After the talks in the media of a possible trade of our young star Josh Kennedy, I've seen quite a bit of support from us hawk supporters in a fight for the HFC to hold onto him.
Its apparent Hawthorn were offering him a one year deal, which IMO is not enough for the amount of promise this kid has shown, especially in '09. Kennedy is the next generation of our tough midfield that continues to be our strength. What will letting him go mean to the hawthorn heritage? What will it mean on field in 2010? What will it mean for our footy club in 2015? Your say. What should the HFC do? Do they stick to the one year offer and trade him if he wont accept it? Or do they do what's necessary to keep him.
Josh may believe he's not gonna get the opportunities he may get elsewhere, but he is the future of the HFC. He wont get the support the HFC will give him anywhere else. Hawthorn need to start with an offer to Josh that shows the support he has, and show him the footy club is right behind him and his future at hawthorn.
Believe it or not, players and staff do keep their eye on BF, so lets hope this gets across to the people that matter.
