I can’t really see any of our major players outside of Simmons making themselves unavailable.
Yep. Me too. Who would make your team JT? I think Cooks is a must selection because of his versatility on defence with his ability to defend multiple positions including bigs. His playmaking on the offensive end gives our front court great flexibility too.

Cant make a FT to save his life. Becomes unplayable in the 4th in a close game though.

Dante has always made the Boomers a priority in the past so he'd be a certain starter I would have thought. His play in recent times playing for one of the best teams in Europe has been fantastic,. The style of basketball in the league he plays in is more similar to international basketball than the NBA is. I think not only will he play for the Boomers but he'll play a level that will get him back into the NBA. People forget he is only 27. That's the same age Joe Ingles made an NBA roster for the first time.
I'm torn on this. I know that nothing can compete with NBA money, but i hope if he does go back he goes to a team that appreciates him and gives him minutes.

Yeah I get that's his weakness clearly. But I'm talking about a back-up role so I wouldn't be playing him at the end of the game. My closing unit would be more like Mills, Giddey, Green, Landale and either Ingles or Kay depending on match-ups.

My main concerns when selecting a side are whether we have enough size and shooting in the lineup. Ultimately it's left Jack White as the unlucky odd man out here, as I feel an extra shooter is more valuable and without having seen him play recently I'd say Kay has credits in the bank to retain his spot. Backup C is interchangeable for Reath/Pinder/Humphries etc., not sure what our best option is there.

Giddey
Mills
Green
Kay
Landale

Exum
Daniels
Ingles
Thybulle
Maker

Goulding
Cooks

I thought the same about Jack White until I looked at his G League stats. He's shooting over 40% and making nearly two 3's a game. Its the G League I know but thats very impressive improvement. Kay's also been shooting the lights out from 3 overt the last 12 months shooting over 43% from 3 playing in the national Japanese league. With Green certain to play significant minutes I think the team has great shooting depth.

Certainly makes it interesting. We could be a very forward heavy side, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Daigneault tightened rotation and gave his go-to players max minutes

when Giddey masters his shooting like Nash he will be good

he shot a very high clip for V and i'nal tourneys as a junior

Just heard on wireless Giddey playing for Boomers
Don't think was ever in doubt. Missed the Olympics because it was his draft year, so rightfully so prioritized getting drafted and paid.

All of the NBA players (or potential) run the risk of missing if they are up for the draft, or out of contract. Can't afford an injury playing international ball that jeopardizes that NBA cash. Can't blame them for that.

For me:

Giddey/Delly
Mills/Exum
Ingles/Green/Daniels
Thybulle/Cooks/Kay
Landale/Maker

Not sure if we go Goulding or Kay honestly. I like both. Went with Kay because I'm more worried about our bigs depth

That would be my preferred starting 5. In reality Giddey plays point, but matches up defense wise on the SF due to size. I love Thybulle but concerned about his shooting. He can rotate in alongside Exum for any of the Mills/Green/Giddey/Ingles group though, so will get plenty of minutes and start if match up requires.

I don’t even think he missed the Olympics by choice. I think Goorjian made the choice for him by taking Green over him.

Delly may be back in the NBA, but I don’t really think he should be playing for the Boomers anymore. We have better options.

Dont disagree , hardly played for Kings , taught the young kids work ethic etc
Yeah, he was more there in the Udonis Haslem role than an actual playing role.

Who's our second PG for you, out of curiousity?
