Likely filling the franchise player spot, which gets the biggest money available. Often, it is outside the cap too, so big bucks for an ex-NBA player would be considered quite the drawcard for a smaller league.

We should be encouraging them as much as possible, and also consider making all South Sudanese players count as Australians (non-imports) for the purposes of the NBL (even if they haven't grown up here).

Should at least be able to take the extra "Asian player" import slot. Actually wouldn't be against expanding that to everywhere except North America and Europe.

Just found out Al Riyadi won the Lebanese championship and the West Asian Super League. Thon was MVP of the Super League with 35 points at 50% shooting, 15 rebounds and 4 blocks in the final championship game.

Flew home last night rom Sydney and saw Rose Gold was available on Qantas entertainment - had been meaning to watch it but had never got around to it.
