I wonder what Ash the Ambo thinks

It's almost hilarious how SA Labor got away with the campaign, I daresay it's not as funny for the guy who died.

But where is the scrutiny from the media ?
She got her payoff and disappeared.

Should anyone be really surprised what side the Labor Party would be in cahoots with....the activists or the Farmers that put the food on our plates. Then of course there's the poorer people in these countries who miss out on the important protein this adds to their diet not to mention most Australians would turn up their noses at eating this mutton that is hardly restaurant class. And it's all well and good to try and tell these people to have it delivered chilled but that goes against their long held religious beliefs of the animal being slaughtere by the Halal method. A lot of these sheep would only be suitable for the production of meatmeal by Australian standards and slaughtering them by the Halal method in Australia would be too expensive and make it unviable for farmers and exporters.

Seriously, if you did a national poll the majority of Australians would be against live sheet exports. It is a disgusting trade.

If the farmers want to sell their sheep, then they have them killed first.

Get over it.

And what about farmers complaining about the price they are getting for their sheep now. You live on the land, you take the risks associated with it.

PS : And whinging about ALP not siding with farmers - as if the Coalition would ever side with unions. Please. And you caring about people overseas. Please.

Spoken like a true city slicker with no understanding of the industry.

If the animals are not killed to Halal guidelines they aren't saleable to the muslim countries where they are sold and in Australia other than for meatmeal production which nets the farmers far far less there is no market. These are sheep that have been used in the production of wool in the main and are past their use by date for that purpose.
Why can't they be killed to Halal guidelines in Australia?

Is this not possible?

I understand it needs to be done by Muslims, but why not in Australia before export?

They can and are.

There are a few other issues like access to refrigeration and local customs at point of delivery (a friend of mine in Indonesia tells me lots of Indonesians dont trust cold beef), that impact it.

But probably less to do with being a city slicker 🤣

Hahaha..

the coalition don't even side with the farmers these days!.

the Liberals, and their coalition partners the Nationals, are beholden to big mining and oil and gas. Thats who donates shitloads of money to them.

name one thing the Nationals have done benificial to farmers in the last decade or two.

the Coalition, under that lying rodent Howard, allowed Coles and Woolies to become the market duopoly they are today… a duopoly with a market share of around 65% who have, been ripping Aussie farmers off blind.. all started when Little Johnny took over and actually got up to around 80% between 2004-2008 before dropping back a bit.

And now its got to the breaking point where lots of farmers are gonna walk away from their land..

if it wasnt, thankfully, for Aldi and Metcash entering the market it would be even worse.

thank you LNP… thank you Johnny boy.

the chickens of the LNP being in power for most of the last 2 and a half decades are finally coming to roost. Australian farmers and the Australian consumer are paying for their utter incompetence.

but the LNP doesn’t care for these farmers.. or the Aussie consumer.. all they care about is scoring cheap political points against Labor with sly little gotcha moments and doing the bidding of their international mining and oil and gas donors.

And, as always, their dumbfxxk supporters ignorantly lap it up everytime…

all political parties are as bad as each other. not only do they treat their voters as stupid, they all are as guilty for selling policy to the highest bidder.

How many live sheep exported die before they reach their destination? I believe it's not a small number... which is not only unnecessary suffering but waste of livestock.

Given they cannot guarantee that exporters will all clean up their act, surely the safest method is humanely killing all before they leave Australia. Even if it means it comes at a higher cost. The major export countries can oversee the Halal preparations if they prefer.

Time are changing as are community expectations.

“A self-proclaimed ‘sovereign citizen’ has filmed herself getting into an altercation with police after being stopped by highway patrol.
Driver Chloe Fisher was pulled over by police while out driving in Victoria due to having fake number plates and an unregistered vehicle.

But when the two officers attempted to engage with her and explain what she had done wrong, she told them she was a sovereign citizen and that her vehicle was “private”.

“I’ve been pulled over by highway patrol, I don’t feel the need to pull over,” she said.

“There’s no emergency, so I’m waving him on.”

As the officers get out of their vehicle, she winds down her window and demands to know what the “emergency” is – to which an officer replies “you”.

One of the officers asks the woman if she vehicle is registered, to which she responds by telling him it is “private”.

He then questions here about her car’s number plates, stating that they are “false”.

“I’m in terra Australis, there is no state,” she tells them.

As she waits for the police officers to return to her vehicle, she goes on to insult their appearance and claims the whole force is “sick” due to having COVID-19 vaccinations.

“He actually looks like Doc Martin. You look like s**t.” she exclaimed.

“God, they’re so robotic. The other one has got f**ked teeth, it looks like he just came out of jail.

“They’re wasting my time. F**k he is a big boy, I called him baldy.

“He is actually a really pathetic looking policeman. One, you need to spend a lot of f**king money on your mouth, obviously an ex-druggie.

“And you, you need to f*king diet. A little bit of self-care, take your head out of your a*.

“And me, well I just need to get better at blending in.”

Chloe then goes on a baseless rant about the police, claiming that they are “fraudulent” and guilty of various crimes.”

the story continues but you get the picture..

what is bewildering is this is the second time this ignorant fxxkwit has been pulled over.. why doesnt she have her car impounded and her “freedoms” removed?.

If she has an accident she is unregistered and uninsured. The piece of useless excretement should no longer be allowed to drive on publicly owned roads.

I must be in the minority about politics .....I've never used Right or Left in politics .....or one side versus the other side seems so infantile when talking about peoples lives, jobs ect

Anyone who thinks both sides of Govt don't do the same thing, as they accuse the other of .....has blinkers on

Both sides allocated sports funds to electorates they favour ....been happening since the beginning of lying

The issue with ambulances has not been addressed by both sides of the political fence .....so you can't blame either side, but you sure as hell should look at those who made choices with the new hospitals construction ..... Kane McGoodwin correct me if I'm wrong ....doesn't the new hospital have less beds than the old beaten up hospital ?

In life, you look at each situation and apply what's the right thing ......sometimes it's the Liberals, sometimes Labour ....both have made terrible decisions, but also made good calls

Surely they can then get air-conditioning for these ships?
I knew a bloke in Perth who used to crew on 1 of the vessels for a while

No idea how the vessels are fitted out now. They don't pack them in as tight now. Higher expectations on husbandry on board. I imagine the standards have risen dramatically over the last 25 years.

Hot calm weather with high humidity was problematic, as were storms and rough seas

They probably don't need air-conditioning, just good ventilation

Back then you could smell the vessels in Fremantle before you'd see them

The new RAH has more beds than the old RAH... but hasn't properly allowed for future increased needs.

For the money we spent (most expensive building in the Southern hemisphere), we should have got a state of the art hospital... but the person responsible for the planning was more concerned with travelling the world than actually consulting with clinicians... so we ended up with major bungles like the ED Bays not being big enough.

Lyell McEwin redevelopment was occurring at the same time & they picked up errors in the RAH ward design & made subtle changes that allowed the nurses to be able to (actually) better observe patients from the nursing station.

Just another example of SA Health letting someone incompetent in charge of a major capital project with limited checks & balances.

They repeated this with the new electronic patient record system which is still sub standard...

When you have senior executives more concerned about finding the funniest cat story for her staff newsletter than doing their actual job...

Can't imagine Vader being a revhead.

Disgusting behaviour by security. That one guy I watched footage of should be jailed for hit after hit. What a ****ing moron!

Will be the end of that security company & the directors should be banned for operating another company. Surely they are run by bikies?

I stay as far away from the small penis festival as possible.

Yet the only ones that have the levers to make the necessary changes to fix it or at least improve the system markedly are the Politicians of the 2 major Political Parties so yes it's mostly a Political issue. Did Mali not make improving the ambulance wait times and ramping a major election platform...what's pathetic is it's got worse not better almost 2 years into his term.

Your first sentence is a masterclass in stating the bleeding obvious.
Mali did make it an election promise, that will be an albatross around his neck next election. This is not an easy fix.

There needs to be a bipartisan approach at both the federal and state levels.
Access/exit blocks wont be fixed by just adding more ambos and some extra hospital beds.
Beds per 1000 of population particularly over 65's dont keep up with population growth and ageing.
Over 65's in beds waiting for availability in an aged care facility adds to the exit block, along with Covid and MH.

There are currently 83 people admitted & waiting for a hospital bed housed in our metro adult ED's.
This reduces the ability to manage new patients in ED.

This is a national problem, even in Liberal Tasmania!

Ambulances were ramped for a staggering 31,528 hours across all four major hospitals from July 2022 to March 2023, it was revealed in Budget Estimates.

That’s roughly the equivalent of five ambulances being ramped 24/7 over the nine month period, which represents a 55 per cent increase on the same nine month period from the year before (20,363 hours).

This statistic is a damning reflection of the state of Tasmania’s health system, and a damning reflection of the Rockliff Government’s priorities for Tasmania.

Australian Medical Association (AMA) president Dr Omar Khorshid said in May that increased reports of ambulance ramping in Tasmania was a major concern.

Adelaide widow whose husband died after devastating reaction to Covid vaccine wins compensation

Within days of getting a Covid vaccination shot Bruce Isaacs became paralysed from the waist down and died less than a year later.

An Adelaide widow has been awarded a six figure compensation payment in recognition that a recommended Covid vaccine caused the paralysis and eventual death of her late husband.

It is believed to be one of the most significant payments of its kind to date in South Australia, administered as part of the federal government’s “Covid-19 Vaccine Claims Scheme”.

North Brighton man Bruce Isaacs died in April 2022 less than a year after receiving an AstraZeneca shot.

He became paralysed from his waist down three days after receiving the vaccine and never regained the use of his lower body.

Speaking to the Sunday Mail, his emotional wife Janine “Jan” Baulderstone, a teacher of 50 years, said learning that the couple’s bid for compensation – launched when her husband was still alive – had been successful was bittersweet.

While not revealing exact details of the compensation win she said it was at “the higher” end of a possible payout of more than $640,000.

“It is recognition of all that we went through and provides a sense of justice … but he isn’t here … he died not knowing if we would be successful,” she said.

“We didn’t get to have the retirement we were hoping for … instead of travelling, our last months together were spent at doctor appointments and in the hospital.

“Bruce was an active and independent person, to find himself unable to walk and relying on a machine to lift him up was pretty tragic … it was a devastating situation for him (and) very frustrating.”

The Covid-19 Vaccine Claims Scheme is administered by Services Australia which is also responsible for Medicare.
As at 31 August this year, it has received 3,805 applications nationally and of those:
1625 claims are in progress
729 claims have been withdrawn
199 claims have been approved
1252 claims have been deemed not payable
The spokeswoman for the agency says it can’t reveal any details on the maximum, minimum or average payment amounts made.
“The assessment process can be complex, and claims may also be reviewed independently by medical and other appropriately qualified experts,” she said.
“In many cases, Services Australia is required to seek additional information from applicants in order to further progress consideration of their application.”

Ms Baulderstone, 75, said her husband, who died aged 81, deteriorated “exceptionally quickly” after receiving the vaccine at his local doctor’s surgery on May 15, 2021.

“He had the vaccination on a Saturday … by Monday he was having great difficulty walking,” she said.

His condition worsened with his doctor ordering a CAT scan on Wednesday, urging he be taken directly to hospital when the results came back.

“By the time we got (to Calvary) … he needed a wheelchair,” the heartbroken widow says.

After many months in hospital Mr Isaacs, diagnosed with transverse myelitis, was transferred to the Neuro-rehabilitation Clinic at Flinders Medical Centre before being moved to the Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre and later allowed home, soon becoming unwell and dying from complications of pneumonia.

A chance meeting with Martin Faull, a principal at Lindbloms Lawyers at Hampstead, inspired the couple to seek compensation.

Mr Faull, who specialises in personal injury and medical negligence, said it was rewarding to have helped secure the compensation.

“It will have a massive impact … it doesn’t bring her husband back but will bring financial ease and help recoup some of the costs associated with modifying their house for a wheelchair and installing lifters in the roof,” he said.

“I haven’t heard of any payouts of this significance in SA … the thresholds are tight and you are required to jump through a lot of hoops (to) to prove a direct link between the vaccine injection and the disability, or in this matter, death.”

The no-fault vaccine claims scheme, allowing Australians who experienced “a moderate or significant adverse event or injury” following a Covid vaccination was launched in December 2021, with a total of 3,805 applications made to the end of August this year.

Transverse myelitis, linked to AstraZeneca, was added as a claimable condition in April this year.
A spokeswoman for Services Australia, which administers the scheme, said while she could not provide details of maximum, minimum or average payments made, of 199 claims approved, 17 are residents of South Australia.

“The assessment process can be complex, and claims may also be reviewed independently by medical and other appropriately qualified experts,” she said.

More than 69.3 million vaccine doses have been administered Australia-wide since the vaccine rollout began in February 2021.

Pharmaceutical giants made billions of dollars from these “vaccines” and yet the Australian taxpayer now has to pay for all the damage they caused.

But the really amazing thing is the usual suspects in here that would still defend all of this.
Defend what exactly? Spell it out Slippery rather than make vague accusations!

Answer this simple question - has covax done far more good than bad?

I'm doubtful you will provide an honest answer, given your hysterical anti-vaxxer posting.

That's disgraceful, looks like the first dude security knocked out was trying to split it up!

It is classic Slippery to take one (admittedly tragic) case, and use it as conclusive proof of the lack of safety and efficacy of a medical procedure. Zero proper analysis, zero risk/benefit analysis, zero comparison to rates of health incidents for other commonly used vaccines or medical procedures. Just pushing his narrative and hoping people don't see the flaws.
