The big problem we face in the modern era of disinformation is that we are now merely writing off news and content as automatically wrong just because it came from a particular media source. While the above post makes an excellent point, what exact failure does it address? The ABC is a public funded channel for good reason. What exactly is low quality crap? for a market share that is considerably large they are doing a lot right.

What utter tosh, funded by the Australian taxpayers to the tune of over a $Billion annually they are an embarrassment with their partisan left politics. Just the media arm of the ALP.

There's a good chance that Albanese and Dutton's under 16 free speech ban is unconstitutional and will be thrown out. Elon and others will mount a rigorous case to defeat this law which has been designed to harm childrens ability to be informed, participate in political debate and express themselves. Even China allows 40 mins of social media for under 8's each day and an hour per day for over 8's. Australia has now become the most dystopian country on earth. Shameful.

If that's the case, it's not ready for law imho.

If people are suggesting the ABC are never critical of the ALP then they are just seeing it thru their own lens.

Just listen to the ABC News Channel on the radio. They just about lead with an Opposition spokesman on many of their news bulletins.

Rubbish, they are the media Political arm of the ALP, only more left biased in the Aistralian media are the Guardian and the Saturday paper but at least they're not sucking on the teet of the taxpayers.

Commonwealth Bank sounds an ominous warning about Albo​

The Commonwealth Bank has issued a warning about the economy growing at only half the pace of population growth.

Outside of a pandemic, Australia's economy is already growing at the slowest pace since the 1991 recession, as workplace output keeps going backwards.


Things are unlikely to improve soon with the Commonwealth Bank's head of Australian economics Gareth Aird predicting the economy grew by just 1.1 per cent in the year to September.

Australia's biggest bank noted economic growth would be 'well below the rate of population growth' pace of 2.3 per cent - proving a big influx of foreigners is doing little to grow the economy.

Successive Australian governments during the past two decades have relied on turbo-charged immigration to boost job creation.

But Australia's economy has also been in a per capita recession since the March quarter of 2023, where output for every Australian has been shrinking.

'Against strong growth in population, the national accounts are anticipated to confirm that the per-capita recession continued,' Mr Aird said.

Productivity is in decline and economic activity is weak despite a big influx of skilled migrants and international students.

And so the government spending has actually helped the country into not going into recession as well, which is good for the country psyche.

Is growth important? Absolutely but our economy has structural issues which need to be addressed.

I often wondered how police in 3rd world dictatorships could so easily turn on their own people. The Covid response is what happens when your population has been propagandized by the political elite and mainstream media for two decades.

I have, from time to time, seen them critical of the ALP.

I have never, not once, seen them critical of the “system”, of which both major parties are often willing participants.

Im at a stage where I believe those who criticise the ABC never watch the ABC its all just heqarsay and misconception. Which funnily enough was born because idiot features Abbott was sick of being pummeled by them so he used to complain about their bias. Well for one I live in Portugal. So I am basing off what I saw of the ABC prior to me moving in 2023. So I havent seen ABC Australia in nearly 2 years.

But for all the complaining, tell me what the commentary has got wrong? are they making things up? are they dishing out false information about the LNP? are they not reporting on the ALP doing something the LNP did but criticised the LNP for? im after examples, not your opinion on people.
