What a load of bollocks.

You seem to have Sky Derangement syndrome, they're not nearly as biased as RenewEconomy.

I quote plenty of sources from many different media sources and Sky wouldn't be near the top of that list.

That is in your opinion.

Sky News is very much biased - why it rates only amongst the right wing nutters.

NSW ALP too..

The NSW Labor government has now banned offshore mining and exploration for gas and oil in NSW waters. NSW is the first state to ban offshore fossil fuel extraction.

The Environmental Planning and Assessment Amendment (Seabed Mining and Exploration) Bill 2024 amends the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 to prohibit:

  1. Seabed petroleum and mineral exploration and recovery in NSW coastal waters; and
  2. Other development within the state for the purposes of seabed petroleum and mineral exploration and recovery anywhere.
‘This is great news for marine ecosystems and people of NSW. It shows that it’s entirely possible for the government to protect nature, water and the community from the devastating impacts of the fossil fuel industry,’ Jacqui Mumford, Nature Conservation Council of New South Wales (NCC) CEO said.

‘This legislation stops any operators wishing to explore for oil and gas in Commonwealth waters off the coast of NSW from building infrastructure that enables fossil fuels to be transported through NSW waters to the shore for processing,’ Surfers for Climate CEO, Josh Kirkman.

And also the State Liberals were also of the same opinion.

If they weren’t, they would have allowed Pep11 but they didn’t. Do some homework on that one.

One thing is for sure, both parties should disclose details of their energy plan as to how Australia are going to transition as the coal power stations are closed down.

Nuclear isn't going to help in the short or medium term.

It will be interesting to see how Dutton copes in an election campaign and having to explain his policies given he has opposed just about every COL measure the government has introduced.

He will need to provide greater detail on his nuclear brain fart as well.

Upgrade Albanese. Penny Wong and grim Jim Chalmers have already done all they can to get Dutton elected, their term in the driver's seat has been an absolute shitshow.

Improvement on Foreign Policy & repaired most of the damage by ScoMo...

I know you are not a fan of Penny Wong, but she is a good performance wise.

No recent PM's rated in this list...

Disagree big time, her handling of the middle eastern conflict has been an absolute shambles, just ask long term former ALP Federal Minister Michael Danby

How has Australia's handling of the middle east made matters worse?

We are not part of the war?

Is it because they have called out Israel for the war crimes? The over-reacttiion by Israel killing thousands of innocent Palestinians has been terrible... & yes Hamas started it.

Any ways, ScoMo did far, far more damage to international relations. It's not even a contest! Picking a fight with our biggest trading partner was moronic.

Would Michael Danby be neutral?

The federal electorate of Melbourne Ports has long been a safe Labor seat.
It also has a high proportion of Jewish voters. Since 1998 it has been held by Michael Danby, a Jew and a strong supporter of Israel.

Standing up to China should be top of all Western Governments agenda, only have to look at Upgrade Albo's mob licking their boots but China is still our biggest cyber security risk by far always attempting break through our security systems and then there's the incidents with our air force and navy which have put our people at risk of serious harm.

One is a democratic country the other Hamas is a terrorist organisation....have Hamas released the hostages yet? Do we even know if the hostages are still alive. You keep sucking up all your lefty mates kool-aid, this could all be over if Hamas released the hostages....that is all that's required...until then it's all on Hamas and the Palestinian people to stop the bloodshed.

If the Palestinians were serious about wanting peace they should piss off Hamas who are just using them as their patsies, but no they support Hamas's barbaric practices, one only needed to see the way the Palestinians were cheering and carrying on when Hamas dragged and paraded their hostages, can't get much more sub-human than that.

Penny wong will not be remembered well in history.

"Handsome boy" 🤮

There are diplomatic ways of standing up with China so they don't lose face. You keep banging on about cost of living, yet ok damaging trade relations with our biggest trading partner to supposedly look tough. It's completely idiotic to damage our economy.

The Israeli government are war criminals... pure & simple! No different to Hamas. Sure they didn't start the war, but the retaliation to obliterate the homes of millions of mostly innocent people & kill thousands is completely over the top.

Pretty sure those companies that had lobster, wine, barley, coal, timber, beef etc are quite satisfied the trade sanctions have been removed together with those in the agricultural supply chains.

If you think Penny Wong won’t be well remembered well I’ll raise you a Scott Morrison and probably Mr Potato Head should he ever become PM.

Oh and if Hamas did release the hostages do you honestly believe a two state solution would occur? The release of hostages, which needs to occur, has to be incorporated together with a ceasefire and two state solution so the Israeli PM can’t renege on the deal. Would he renege? Absolutely.

Penny Wong is so highly regarded, easily one of if not the best federal politician in the land. People attacking her merely trying to drag her down to their political level.

Yeah those thousands of innocent Palestinians cheering and carrying on as Hamas barbarically dragged and beat their hostages to death through the streets ...yeah those people...

Ceasefire now.

Ten children per day are losing one or both of their legs in the war in Gaza, the head of the UN agency supporting Palestinian refugees said on Tuesday, June 25. "Basically we have every day 10 children who are losing one leg or two legs on average," UNRWA chief Philippe Lazzarini told reporters in Geneva. Citing figures from the UN children's agency UNICEF, he said that figure "does not even include the arms and the hands, and we have many more" of these.

"Ten per day, that means around 2,000 children after the more than 260 days of this brutal war," Lazzarini said. He said amputation often takes place "in quite horrible conditions," sometimes without anesthesia. Save the Children said on Monday that up to 21,000 children are estimated to be missing in the chaos of the war.

In addition to the thousands of children who've been killed, you have thousands of children who have been maimed. And when you have a war injury like an amputation, it's not just that your leg comes off, somebody sews up the stump, and that's it, you can walk again. On average, these complex war-related injuries will need eight to 12 surgeries in the person's lifetime. A lot of those surgeries must happen early on in recovery. If they don't, the wound could become infected and they might lose their limb—or their life, if that infection spreads to their bloodstream.

So a lot of these children who are wounded may actually get sicker or die if they don't receive the very intense and long-term medical care that they need as soon as possible. The prosthetics will also have to be resized as the children grow. These children need physical rehabilitation, physical therapy, occupational rehabilitation, occupational therapy. These things are impossible in Gaza right now.

There are also hundreds of thousands who are starving without appropriate shelter. That will have long-lasting implications for both their physical growth potential and their cognitive or brain development potential, which will then have later effects on their ability to function in life and be productive members of society.

Children are more susceptible to malnutrition, which leads to stunting. They don’t have the kind of metabolic mechanisms that develop with age when they're very young. So what ends up happening is their blood sugar drops and they can easily die as a consequence of low blood sugar levels.

Malnourished children also have compromised immune systems. So a simple infection like a virus or a diarrheal illness that would be totally recoverable in a healthy person could actually lead to a malnourished child’s death. You end up in this vicious cycle where, as a consequence of recurrent bouts of diarrhea, disease, illness, and malnutrition, they have atrophy of the lining of their intestines, which affects their ability to absorb nutrients. So then they have malabsorption, they lose more weight, their immunity's worse, and it just keeps going until the child dies.

Once again deflecting that Israel have committed horid war crimes, displacing more than 1 million people from their homes & killing nearly 50 thousands of innocent people... but yay, you are cheering for war crimes & upset that Wong isn't also cheering for them.

Pretty weird that you support war criminals & think Australia should support war criminals.
Do you have any ethics?

Simple answer to that last question is No.

Israel are not innocent in any of this no matter what some would have us believe. We have all been in agreement that October 7th 2023 was absolutely wrong but the response by the Israelis has just been as bad, if not worse.

The sooner the Israeli PM is bought to account the better.

Did you hear about the Socialist Pragmatic that walked into a bar ?
After spewing forth all and sundry without reaction let’s go with
“So let the hostages go and everything will be ok ? Is that your response.”
The Bar tender says : isn’t holding hostages and negotiating with them just Terrorism ?
Social Pragmatic thinks a long time and says “yes , I guess that makes me a Socialist Pragmatic Terrorist !” or a Troll

Sadly it’s not a joke.

“If the bell tolls for Israel it tolls for us all”. Bob Hawke. a true Australian.

Most Australians get it...
