I feel a bit for Cooper, there’s no way he should be playing as a frontline spinner batting at 9. Hasn’t had any opportunity yet to show what he can do with the bat.

I know we’ve had a few go down, but surely there are some other frontline quicks floating around the county circuit.

I suspect they would be shadow of their actual selves had they been developed in the modern era.
Stoinis and David are two of the most overrated T20 batsmen of all time, they play about one good innings in about 10.

They aren't even that great at Big Bash level let alone international level.
I kind of think, Stoinis was playing around in a lucky era. Ive watched cricket since the early 90s and there were better all-round cricketers in that day and age , where most didn't go on to make the money the Stoin has made back in the game back then. I also doubt someone like Stoinis would have cracked a few of the WA state sides in the era Adam Gilchrist, Damien Martyn when they were the cornerstone of that white ball format.

Feel like Stoin is more worried about his image and being from Hale School in Perth , his kind of ego of him and his school is showing a bit on the world stage.

Interesting line up last night...2 specialist bowlers & Connolly coming in at 9...Watched some highlights & didn't know he was playing until I saw him bowling in the 2nd innings lol

What was with that bowling attack we picked, we were never winning with that plod selected lol
Yeah but we have some injuries..make shift bowling attack

I thought we did okay...happy with shorts bowling 5 wickets fantastic for him and us

batting was okay...Fraser first 50 Short looks okay Head going great Inglis doing well

Liked hardie at the end with greenie

But ffs why the F**k are they batting below...stoinis and David !!!...both of them David and stoinis are only good at facing 10 balls and thats it ..unless they start pulling there fingers out time to look at other options ...and the other lads are looking okay

I would rather pump games into Hardie over Stoinis and David

Hardies bowling I dont think is good enough yet at this level. He got pumelled in India in a T20 series there and economy rate was one of the worser Australian bowlers. Cam Green, probably Stoin still ahead of him in that regards,

Hardies batting is better than Stoinis if BBL form is any indication.

Im not sure if one can play at least 2 of those 3 players in the same team in a major tournament like a world cup. Well you cant definitely play 3 of the 4: Marsh, Cam Green, Stoinis or Hardie. They all a bit too similar for me. Marsh does have a liability against spin. I found it a bit weird he skipped the majority of the last IPL.

bummer:

'1.20pm: the weather is threatening to spoil things. It's a pretty dank and damp day at the moment, and the prospects aren't fantastic. The latest start time for a five-over thrash is 5.48pm. 1.50pm: Here's Matt from the ground: "It looks really bleak. There's nobody in the Party Stand, a handful under cover in a the other stands. There's some standing water on the outfield."
