I am on the Dowler bandwagon as well. Saw a lot of games down at the Oakleigh Chargers and can't wait for him to get his chance. Good luck young fella.

with regards to Roughy, i think it is a good move to spare him the trip to Freo.
He looks to be suffering from burn out too me.
Being young and asked to play KKP will take its toll.

Will be good to see the two of them play, IF they are in the team. Nice move to give Roughie a run in the 2's. Regardless of how much talent you have, if you are not playing well, you should be able to get dropped.

Just in regards to your DP vanders, i'm so glad Cambell decided to cut his hair this year. :p

Seems to be a reverse Sampson effect! :D

Roughead's been out of form, but to suggest he should be dropped before Dawson is very poor form.

Dawson has been dropped and played VFL for a few weeks where he was really good.
Roughhead looks a little down on confidence and really out of form even compared to last year so i think at least a week at box hill will do him aworld of good.
It's not like were playing for finals or anything so better that roughy goes to box hill now and not next year.

Maybe Roughead needs a rest. Its a gruelling season, and he's been given monster jobs this year and he's still so young. There is more going on in developing a youngster than just picking and dropping him, but managing his fitness etc, which may be the reason his form dropped off after a good start, is he's struggling to run games out.

People forget that last year he was playing about half the matches etc. and this year been thrown much more game time and asked to play sometimes and the key tall down back. That's huge responsibility that no youngster should have to bear. Can't believe some people don't take that into account when assesing his form. He's had some really good games down back, but looks like he is running out of legs.

And if hes running out of legs than a game on the large suby ground and the trip to perth isnt going to help. Hes been poor for the last month and probably needs a break as a young player to freshen up mentally and physically and get his confidence back.

Good luck to the youngens anyway.........Roughy needed a spell has his form has been poor of late...........I don't think Daws is a FB and fumbles a hell of alot............I would not play him at all......delist I reckon................sorry Daws probably a good bloke but.....

Fantastic to see Dowler and big Max get a run, i think it is a credit to Beau as a person that he could get back to this position after the troubles he went through last year! Good luck to both boys.... wouldnt a win be a great way to "baptise" our latest young guns......

Rapt to see Dowler getting a run. I rate this kid and really think Collingwood made a mistake letting him go.....which you guys would be rapt about! :p

Is the final team out yet or is he still on an extended bench?? Cheers in advance and all the best to the kid.....will be a gun :thumbsu:

Well Roughead is out, so considering we'd already be short on KPP, you'd think Dowler would be a chance for sure. Maybe Croad back to Pav, and Dowler straight into the forward line?

Bailey outside chance as well. Taylor can fill some gaps but IMO will be found out badly on the open spaces in the west

Great to see Dowler and Bailey getting a run, like Gary, that announcement made my day.

I wasn't really of the opinion that Roughy had done much wrong, but I'm happy to defer to those in a better position to judge.

Good to hear Max being selected, hopefully he gets a run in front of his home crowd. He's a top bloke, it was only last year that I was kicking around the footy with him. Everyone is stoked with him progress so far, good things to come.

He's been a great pick up for us so far. 19 and holding down the first ruck for Box hill. For a kid his size he is very mobile and likes to throw himself into tackles and smothers.
He hasn't even played a senior game yet, but he's got alot of fans already.

Yeah he played West Perth colts last year when he moved from Narambeen to start uni. He has a heap of support and he was a big Bombers fan. Level headed bloke and a player to watch in the future. Mobility in the ruck most definately as he is showing at Box
