Ballantyne wants out - Eagles

Buddy wanted to be with Jesinta. If her career job was in Melbourne he would have stayed. If her job were in Perth, Freo would've had a chance. Sydney were forced into the long contract as they couldn't offer more than Hawthorn per year.

Would have loved to see Buddy at Freo, imagine the Buddy and Fyfe show. Buddy remains my favourite non-freo player.

Geez Peel will be strong next year. I can see them making the finals and lining up with Danyle, Balla, Dawson and Spurr in the side.
Spurr Dawss and Suban will be in best 22 in 2017 as will Danyle Pearce

I would argue that Nic Nat's injury would've shifted WCE trading plans too. If they were considering Ballas in the slightest for a pinch the flag sort of trade they'd surely shelve that thinking now. They'd be in the market for Lobb as a priority and realistically look for youth.

Ballas might move to Essendon on a 3 year deal if we don't shift, but that would surprise me. Their 3rd rounder (pick 37) would be the best we could hope for IMO and that wouldn't be too bad.

You obviously meaning Peel.
No I am not and I also watch Peel as well as I am a 20 yr member so I am a committed follower. They have had to give some game time to the kids this year so Subes played a couple of games at Peel but none of the kids are as hard at it as the 3 players in my post especially Subes and Spurr is hard as a cat's head. If we hadn't have had the injuries RTB wouldn't have gone with the youth.

I'm not sure they have the currency to do a deal for Lobb. Would have to involve next years first.

Fyfe has set the precedent to dispel rumors. Prehaps ballaz wants to go somewhere else because he has not formally said 'I am staying at freo' similar to Fyfe just did. Will be such a shame to see Ballaz go but it now does seem hes really keen to get that long contract somewhere else.....

Fyfe has not formally said "I am staying at Freo" either. He's provided a media soundbite, nothing more. And even that soundbite didn't unequivocally state he's staying, just that he's willing to deal "in the future".

To formally say he's staying at Freo, he signs a contract extension. Until he has done that we are none the wiser.

The only thing I learned from this article is that Fremantle will definitely not trade him.

I don't but Ballas couldn't give a flying fig what we think. If he wants out end of story.
Well fair enough ,he got a young family to think of also. I want somebody new and fresh maybe a late pick from eagles not a direct swap. But i start to lost my patient with ethan hughes. Is like all of a sudden ge lost all his confident.

Yep WA Boy ,ex Claremont I think. He has had a horrible season but knee recons take longer to recover from in the bigger players. Another tall experienced defender would not go astray.
But i already prepare that sport for uber, with maybe west perth kietal as rookie.!
