Scoble ha ha on ya darren

Scoble from Darley would be the Assistant Coach as part of the all conquering "Combination" which has been dubbed from the 18's interleague success.

Not sure who would coach?

Is there a bigger hoodoo in the league than Darley vs the Lakers. Every year they lose to them no matter what position on the ladder.

sounds like Darley have let another chance slip. they are their own worst enemy by all accounts.
can coach Power & super assistant Scoble get them up and performing over the next month??
good to see the panthers get revenge on the Cobras. very tough year for both clubs.

Yeah can't work that result out. Redan have the wood on Darley too, just as Darley always beat South. Lakers struggle against Melton too.

Is there a more hated /hit player in the league than Banwell from East Point.

Know of at least 2 players to be suspended for hitting him and 3 others to do it and get away with it.

What is his problem.

Seems to me there could be a few coaching jobs up for grabs come the end of the year seems to me South, Bacchus Marsh, Lakers, Sebas, Darley and maybe Melton will have new coaches in 2007 anyone got any thoughts or inside info on who might fill these roles???

where does the coach of sunbury get off saying redan has a suspect backline apart from snibson and lubeek in todays courier. matthew pitt is one of the most rock solid defenders ive ever seen. not to mention the likes of king, peace etc. does anyone else think redans backline is suspect or is it just that bloke?

i suppose next power will get off bagging east points back line. why doesn't he start to get his side going and follow in the footsteps pf murrihy and fisher.

power has always been one to open his mouth and make stupid comments agree he should worry about his own side which i watched the other week and they were far from impressive to many glamour boys in sunbury line up the ques for the mirrors after the game would be as long as ques for womens toilets on oaks day !

BFL teams vow to pop each other's bubble in clash
Tuesday, 15 August 2006
EAST Point coach Shane Fisher has warned that his side would not be intimidated against Sunbury in this Saturday's Ballarat Football League clash, with one of the team's bubbles set to pop.
Fisher and his counterpart Mark Power are expecting a fierce contest at Clarke Oval - similar to what the teams dished up in round eight at the Eastern Oval.
But Fisher said his Red Lion Kangaroos would, like every week, be ready to cope with some physical attention and just as willing to hand it out.
"There are a few sides that are a bit more physical than others and Sunbury certainly plays that style. And it's a good style of footy because it can intimidate players. But we're over the intimidation thing," he said.
A strong rivalry has developed between the sides this season as the Kangaroos have snatched the mantle of the league's powerhouse side from Sunbury.
East Point surged to victory against the Lions with nine quick-fire goals in the final term to win earlier the season, forcing the outspoken Power to eat his words.
Power had predicted leading into that match that his side was going to "pop East Point's bubble".
The match was marred with behind-the-play brawling and, Fisher claimed, unfair targeting of full-forward Dan Jordan.
The top-of-the-table Kangaroos will be just as keen to pop Sunbury's bubble this Saturday, with the Lions entering the match on a six-game winning streak.
Power played down the form of his Lions yesterday, saying East Point remained the team to beat for the premiership.
"There's only one team that has a bubble to pop and that's East point," he said.
"We still have a few players out and a few to come back from injury, so we're not as ready at the moment than what we will be come finals."
Power said he learned only one thing from his side's 16-point loss in round eight.
"What I learnt was there was a guy called (Kieran) Drum who ran off the square about six times and nailed a few of our onballers. I dare say it's going to happen again," he said.
Power's biggest concern is on who he will play on the Jordan.
The league's premier forward has booted a total of 25 goals in his past two outings on the way to 100 for the season.
Key defender Simon Clarke is believed to be suffering with a hamstring problem, while usual full-back Alan O'Connor is about to head overseas this week.
Power revealed yesterday that O'Connor had played his last game this season.
"It's very disappointing, but we've known all along he was going to go overseas," he said.
"The big question is how do we stop Mr Jordan. But I will say the same thing, if Jordan kicks 10 goals I will come out and say I'm a bad coach.
"He's a quality player but you can stop him with a quality backman."
Fisher was sure Sunbury would have a plan for Jordan.
"Knowing Power, having played with him, he will have a few tricks up his sleeve."

They have won 6 in a row - which other week are you talking about?

Easts backline isnt as strong as Redan's. I think Sunbury might roll East this week after some response from the intimidation factor and then have knocked the top two teams off.

All three sides down the freeway playing in finals know that East arent a tough side and do take a sideways look when it comes to the crunch. not all players but more than should.

O'Connor is a massive loss for sunbury though.

Is it true that Shanks has got the coaching gig at Albion in the WRFL next year??? If so i'm staggered have they had a look at his coaching record???? Not very impressive......

Your got to be kiddin yourself..???? He beat B'Marsh the worst side ever to play in the BFL. Lost easily to Lakers. Time will only tell if he can coach at that level. Good to see Sutton pull the boots on against another struggling opposition. Great player, but needs to start playing in games that count. Though kicking 10 against Sunbury is a great effort.
M'South are a joke in the way the club is ran, and will continue to struggle and live in the shadows of the BLOODS!
Power has the right to say what he wishes as he is a star, and u only become one over consistency in the footy world and he has been brilliant for 10 + Years.
I hope Sunbury Smash East/Point- Weak as pi ss for merging and are after a cheap flag. STill my tip is Redan...

from what i have seen of sunbury and beeing a past player of the club, they are to slow.their players hate the coaching staff and also fight with each other. i too think redan will win the flag but cut out this merger crap as being weak as ****. its better to have half of a club than none at all and believe east point deserve credit and if you dont you surely must have a grudge against them.
