Barry Hall named Player of the year

I'd take the opinion of a coach over an umpire every day of the year.

Now all Barry has to do is have a blinder come Saturday and 2005 will be his.

Does someone have a list of all the past coaches mvp's and aflpa's mvp's? interested to compare how many brownlow votes each player got etc in the respective years.

Well this in fitting - Barry gets Coaches player of the year and Cousins gets Umpires player of the year.

Now the 2 captains square off.

$50 says Cousins get's a free before Bazza!

Congratulations Barry.
You'll be remembered amongst other Coaches' MVPs like Whats-his-face and You-remember-that-guy. All worthy past winners.

Great effort BBB.

Bit surprising though. I thought Cousins was clearly the standout player this year.
I'd have to agree (of course) but not because I thought Cuzz was the stand out but more that I dont really recall Baz having a ripper year.

Tredrea won the coaches award last year and I think that was the first one. The players mvp's are probably at the aflpa website, Riewoldt won it last year from memory.

So Barry should have won the Brownlow and not Cuz? I seriously doubt that.

Didn't say that. Just that a GF victory would cap off a year better than a loss. Mr. Emotion, winner of the 2005 Brownlow, would probably agree.
