Best of luck to Bassirou Faye and all that. I hope he succeeds. You need to question the recruiting approach though. Faye, Begg, Tohill, Keane, Wilson... it's a lotta eggs in one basket. On extreme long shots.

No more irish. They just get homesick and leave. Marty Clarke was great but a one off.

What does playing a contact sport have to do with restraining yourself from throwing punches on a sporting field. Stick to your Lacrosse Steve Stifler
I'm returning fire sticking up for the kid. Obviously punching is a no go... But he is young AND inexperienced, probably got baited into doing it by other players... he will learn.
And being "should be charged for assault" was the funniest thing i've ever read.

Just because you are on a sporting field/court , you cant just throw punches. Do what he did in public and see where it gets you

I just said it was a no go lol.. You seriously think that's worth assault charge? Barry hall got nothing for what he did to brent staker... Roo got his whack, was remorseful (by the article's report) and will learn from it. Players will 2nd guess riling him up again however.

I wish there were severe ramifications for todays youth.

But, These days, it (committing violence) gets you straight back on the streets. Kids getting knifed, left right and centre, cars stolen, disabilities caused, families ruined. I’ve seen 1 dead kid and 1 deans young man in the past 24 months. Both stabbed…

If only the legal system was as harsh as the tribunal.

It’s ridiculous.

You are a moron who has obviously never played any kind of contact sport. Jog on to the netball or fencing forum champ
Literally was a fencing champ in my time (foil), admittedly I did it as it was a really slack sport. But I can tell ya (even though you have vest) your torso is very bruised after a tournament.

OK, it is a gentle sport even though you are stabbing people with a metal stick.

Fencing is for sissies. Jousting. That's a real sport.

Agree, I feel for the police. Doing the same work to see the kids just released , theres no scare factor these days for kids for committing.

Heard one kid had been arrested 119 times , laughable

And Dan wants to raise the age of criminal responsibility. Man am I glad I left Victoria many years ago. Wouldn't go back for quids.

Melbourne is a very safe city. Crime is present in all cities of the world and Melbourne rates near the top in regards to safety.

We all know that jousting is high-testosterone fencing.

It's just relatively speaking, when you live in a world where synchronised swimming and equestrian events are sports, a better put down could have been formulated in this instance.

Mate give it a rest, you from Brighton or YCW? I was watching my daughter play netball a few weeks ago when he was sent off playing against the Pines at Baxter Park. What he did when they played Mt.Eliza the first time, swinging fists everywhere, was disgraceful. The project has failed, he needs to give it up and let someone who wants to play football take his place.

For those of us that grew up here in the 80's and 90's when it was considered a little dangerous back then, I can tell you it has nothing on the basket case the city has turned into now. This from someone that grew up in the South Eastern Suburbs when the Vietnamese ran riot in the early-mid 80's.
