This is a case of a pie in the oven.
Pre heat oven on low heat, pop it in, wait for a year or two…remove from oven, check if ready, sample taste, if done…serve.
Warning, do not keep opening the oven every 5 minutes to check on progress, this may impact the quality of the final product (& tends to create a feeling of “are we there yet” or “this will never happen”).

I assume there is no VFL or TAC while we are in lockdown. No community football!
Hard to get a game if there is no football
Bang on. He would have played with the Chargers if it weren't for him being sent to Senegal due to a visa dispute, only to then be stuck there because of COVID, only for COVID to strike once more and wipe out Victorian footy

Poor bloke, it's like he walked under a ladder. Hasn't had much luck

While I acknowledge it is highly unlikely we will ever see him in a senior game (happy to be proven wrong) and that he is coming from a long way back, IMO this is the international rookie system done right.

Identifying an 18yo with high athletic prowess and shaping him into a position where the "craft" is easier to learn is the way to go. Bringing in 200cm international projects and hoping they will learn the forward nous that are honed for years at Auskick, lunch time footy and junior levels is just far to unrealistic. For all the flack he receives Mason might be the best KPF international prospect we ever see, and even then it is widely agreed that he is a better Ruck than FWD anyway.

Not detracting from rucks or KPD's, but with both of those roles international prospects have at least been exposed to similar traits required to succeed in those positions.

Except if we get to Christmas (spoiler alert!) and then find out there's no Santa...

in all seriousness, don't mind it. Coming from a long way back but with those levers and pegs he can make up distance pretty quick.

Kicking better than my little fella and I’ve been trying to teach him for 2 years…

Better make sure he puts in a solid week on the (back yard) training track so he's cherry ripe - he's a strong chance to make his AFL debut this week with the injury carnage we've had lately...

He’s more interested in trying to kick a snap than a proper drop punt so he’ll probably fit right in. 😜

What's his tackling like? We could use a pressure small forward who has some tricks with ball in hand and a nose for a goal...

He has been is Aus for months and not getting selected even when half the side missed with schoolboy footy and Vic Metro trials.

When did he arrive?

I have seen some pictures of him and he is quite well put together and certainly weighs more than 90kgs plus he has been waiting for months to get into Australia not been here for months.

According to the player lists published today, he's not listed. Has something happened?
He’s not listed as he has signed as an International Rookie Scholarship player.
If he proves that he is worthy of a list spot…then can be added (at appropriate window & we have spot available).
Assume he plays NAB this year…maybe eligible for some VFL games with AFL approval?
