Didn't even realise that the rest were superb*! Must have bought that player with low stamina. Had a team stamina net until just recently, but don't think they'll be improving haha. Will probably sell soon - have a few older players like that.

Yeah when I started I left a team stam and team field net on when I wasn't checking regularly and it was great to get my base 11 up to a really good standard in each. Now obviously each trainee is going to at least superb.

Tough one now though with half the team on superb* it probably makes the team stam net redundant which is annoying cos I got 3 players on around comp/prof that I want to train up but can't afford the net.
 
I had a team originally from c. 2013/14 through to 2018/2019 then got sidetracked with other stuff and lost it. Think I got up to Div 2 in FC/OD but could never crack the top leagues. Started up again last year and have got right back into it, good to see still a decent player base. Membership is well worth it IMHO. Was a bit tedious working my way up through 3-4 seasons of bot-only leagues however. Try to build up a team organically through training this time rather than trading, seems to be working okay. Team is The Red Hand of Jupiter (30762) if anyone wants to schedule a friendly or two :)

I picked this up again in early 2022 after originally playing it maybe 15 years ago or so. My team name is Bendigo Dragons

Currently plying my trade in OD division 4, FC division 6.


Not sure if I have any gaps currently, but if anyone is ever up for a friendly or ten feel free to send them through.

I'm in the middle of a FC match at home against one of the bottom sides. I bowled them out for under 100 and was 1 for 200 odd in my first innings.

I wanted to push the game to a third day for the extra gate revenue, so I set my declaration target at 100 runs and set my 5 batters to bowl. I hope the site starts working before the start of play tomorrow so I can change it back to my bowlers (and declare immediately if I haven't already been bowled out), otherwise I'll probably end up with a draw and potentially drop a spot on the ladder.

I got there a few years (11 seasons) ago and had the same issues. I was days away from bankruptcy.
I ended up having to sell everything and star a complete rebuild. I dropped to 7th division in FC in 7 seasons and my ranking went into freefall, almost dropping out of the top 2000.

The team is starting to develop now and I should start moving back up the divisions pretty soon. This time I've got 2-3 times as much money in the bank so I should keep myself up there longer and hopefully generate enough income from traiing jumiors to maintain it for a while.

My first three rebuild players are already 26 though so the clock's ticking...

I’ll keep two players who might still be viable when I’ve rebuilt - a 26 year old all rounder (exquisite bat phenom bowl) and a 24 year old phenomenal bowler

You talking about years or seasons? If it's years you were there pretty much from the start.

My team is 46 seasons old (14 years). I had a team sometime before that. Not sure how much earlier. Wish I'd stuck with it the first time.
