I'm sure he wouldn't say no.
He could have coaching and media opportunities in Melbourne.

Desperately needed. Should stop Lehmann from getting so many games.
Doesn't really address our batting weakness. Are we going to play 2 spinners (Agar/Ahmed) and 4 pace bowlers (Richardson, Behrendorf, Tye, NCN) ?Scorchers finally confirmed the signing of Fawad Ahmed.
Why stop at 4?Doesn't really address our batting weakness. Are we going to play 2 spinners (Agar/Ahmed) and 4 pace bowlers (Richardson, Behrendorf, Tye, NCN) ?
Because we should probably have some batting options in the teamWhy stop at 4?
But bowlers man! We could field a full XI of them!Because we should probably have some batting options in the team
This is the scorchers. A team that in the past has persisted with David Willey opening and batting Agar at five.Because we should probably have some batting options in the team

All four of those pace bowlers could even be on international duty at the same timeDoesn't really address our batting weakness. Are we going to play 2 spinners (Agar/Ahmed) and 4 pace bowlers (Richardson, Behrendorf, Tye, NCN) ?
I spose Turner could bowl. All four of those pace bowlers could even be on international duty at the same time

Phil Salt to be the 2nd international for the Strikers. Couldn’t tell you if he’s any good or not but can’t be much worse than Ingram was.
Opener who goes berserk and succeeds about half the time.
Phil Salt, the type of international signing that CA needs to put bums on seats
People said the same about Jofra Archer.. just saying.
Good call, Salt is a very impressive prospect of a player. Gillespie would know him well from Sussex. I don't know why people resort to the same snide ignorance when sides go out of their way to actually think outside the box
These younger and lesser known Englishmen are ideal candidates for overseas spots on the roster. Someone should be calling Tom Banton (ideally Perth given their batting order depletion & that he has played grade in Perth already) unless he's already committed to another league.
Ingram is/was good by the way.
Archer is an outlier, but many of these random signings over the BBL journey have not been the ones CA should be targeting. If CA weren't stingy pricks, AB would've been here.Good call, Salt is a very impressive prospect of a player. Gillespie would know him well from Sussex. And Rashid Khan.People said the same about Jofra Archer.. just saying.
Hadn't Rashid Khan already made a name for himself by being bought in the IPL auction? And Rashid Khan.
The typical Australian cricket fan could not give a **** about any IPL performance. Cricket doesn't exist outside Australia for the people who would be drawn in by a big name.Hadn't Rashid Khan already made a name for himself by being bought in the IPL auction?
