Finch/Ponting commentary combo is very good

I'd love for Finch to team up with White as part of our coaching team for next season

One of the best captains from a tactical perspective I can remember, and pretty sure he won at least 1 player-of-match award based on his captaincy - Gades won without necessarily having a standout individual performance but his influence as captain was obvious

Just feels a few times this season that we've been in a good position, but from a tactical or leadership side of things have made some head scratching choices. I know Sutherland has been captain of Vic for a couple of years, but not sure there's really the experienced head/leader/mentor amongst his teammates that he can turn to out on the field

Richo is probably the one he seems to turn to the most, but not sure the advice is really working

Never looked close to winning after 0-5.
The new year brought in a transformation for this team, though if Maxwell did not make that unbelievable 90,the Stars would be out of the tournament.
Maxwell back in form in 2025 after a very frustrating end of 2024.

Renegades blew this game massively.

Lack of maturity from our top order
Brown was signed to be an explosive opener - 4 off 7 isn't a great return & he couldn't time anything. I'd take a quick fire 20 off the first couple of overs before getting out as at least that puts some pressure on the opposition

With Brown struggling to find the middle of the bat, Harris looked to try and find the boundary, but that's really not his go; he tried forcing the issue

Bethell with 1 from 8 never got going, and looked like he was playing his first game

JFM seemed to give himself a chance to get in tonight but then tried playing a shot to the hardest part of the ground to clear the rope. His best innings here was last season, batting at 3 and he scored 70 off 37 and simply played good cricket shots

Right now he looks out of form and just not giving himself a chance

This was the wagon wheel from his 70 run innings
