McAndrew finishes it with a six, a good game, hopefully it's a good game in the final between the Hurricanes and the Thunder.

Two deserving teams in the final this year and it's good to see a final that doesn't feature the Scorchers and the Sixers for once.

Have watched 3 losing Saints Grand Finals and the Hurricanes sole Grand Final was a loss.

Geez it would be nice to get a W in a Grand Final.

Not that the big bash is even close to an AFL premiership. Would still be nice.

Thunder will be more than happy to go in as underdogs in the Final.

Fancy the Thunder to bowl as much spin again to the Canes in : Green, Tanveer Sangha and Tom Andrews. Half of the overs tonight were spin.

Tactically, David Warner and Green were a big reason why they restricted the Sixers to what they did. Having a James Vince there or even Abbott, probably the difference tonight. Bancroft isn't much of a loss and Daniel Sams loss doesnt outweigh the loss of what the Sixers have.

Honestly happy to make it likely we get trounced but you never know winning a toss would be nice down there

They are pretty weak come finals time, I’d **** Vince off if he can’t commit for the season and find someone else
Yep the Sixers top order has alot more flow to it with James Vince or Steve Smith opening. Philippe question marks under big match pressure. Edwards was really poor as a bat this season bar 1 or 2 good innings- part of that reason was them shuffling him down the order and not giving him security of where to bat. Losing Vince to the other league, has stuffed up their chemistry with the bat. The batters don't know how to go about their innings. Tonight the Sixers scored 32 runs off the first 6 overs and that was probably where the game was won.

The Thunder will be underdogs in the final but they are dangerous, Warner has only made 11 runs in their 2 finals and won both.

If Warner tees off in the final with a big score then look out, you could say the same for Mitch Owen, Tim David or Wade though.

Seven straight seasons the Sixers have made the finals and only twice have they won the title. Safe to say they have underachieved. :(
T20 is a format its hard to have dynasties.

Margin for error in a knock-out game is not much.

One spell of bowling or a freakish innings can win a team the match.

As a Thunder fan that have been shit for most of the existence it would be incredible to come in and pinch another title though.

This is a radical idea, probably an overreaction but I'd ask James Vince to either commit for the entire tournament or don't even bother turning up if I was the Sixers. Same with Laurie Evans. Yes the BBL can't compete financially with the UAE comp but that tournament is about as soulless as it gets.

James Vince has been pretty good value for the Sixers, I think he might have even played in some finals and won them a title.

I get what you're saying though, not many of the good English players stick around for the whole BBL, Billings is an exception.

There are still English spuds like Garton sticking around but that's probably because he hasn't had any better offers elsewhere.

That's true however when he does ship off, he leaves a big void in their batting order, a void it appears that they can't fill.

Should be the same for all of them. If you sign up to the draft you’re expected to be available for the whole tournament (international duty and injuries obviously the exception).

CA have really dropped the ball on what was a strong start to the comp, when we had huge names coming over for it. Not sure how we’ve got to what we have now (likely because they were too greedy with the length of the tournament) but someone has made some terrible calls.
