I like you positiveness.

I gave us a chance to make the 8 last week, but we had to beat Sydney. We didn't, now the season is over and I want 2 priority picks.

I am picturing in 4 - 5 years of this gun player just killing the opposition and us sitting on top.

Football is so clearly these days played 90% above the shoulders - when we are playing full of confidence we can match it with the best teams in the comp, at the moment they boys are just low on confidence and playing in decisive football. Hopefully with a bit of confidence, and some playing continuing to improve (Bryan, Waite, Walker, Houlihan, etc) we can become a powerhouse team again - whether that is fighting out this year or starting fresh next year is debatable. Todays system warrants lieing down and getting two guns in the draft

Can we sacrifice pride, for that??? Surely the boys have to try and win everytime they step onto a ground - losing cultures are not that easy to change

I agree. There ain't a big gap between us and the top-8. Very disappointing seeing our team perform so bad, and in these times we tend to underestimate the ability of some our young players. Confidence is an important thing for our young side, and we just don't have it at the moment. The reverse is also true - few good wins and the media overhype their favourites e.g Melbourne- remember they have Holland as their CHF!

Melbourne have a first rate midfield compared to ours, they kick more goals via the midfield.
