Considering he is a better player than Dowie, and Dowie is on $300/game, why wouldn't he head there. Sure, the Saints would have "greased his palm", but there's nothing like having that done and playing in a successful side.

im not so sure about him being a better player than dowie but im sure he will be a handy pick-up for the hawks.

They lacked a quality backman last year so these two would fit in perfectly. Now they just need to keep Ricardo and bring in an experienced ruckman
from what I'm told, Panther's best days are behind him, he spent all of 09 in the magoos at St.Albans

Scott Hughes to sign at Grovedale tonight, promised to be played at Full Forward
Breaking news... Former Essendon legend Matthew Lloyd has signed with GFL club Grovedale. Its believed Lloyd has told the club he's happy to play further up the ground and not his customary full forward in an effort to accomodate unknown player Scott Hughes who Grovedale have promised the position to already even tho its only october 2009 and pre season training is yet to begin...

Ollie will be playing at Modda next year and Hermans as yet hasnt informed Modda that he's going to East Geelong. Modda will be a force next year and anything less than a finals berth will be a massive disappointment.
