im guessing you just read the report that we are open to mature age recruits and assumed that meant we are keen on cousins?

we have already ruled out cousins, as much as i would like him in an essendon jumper it will never be

Word is Knights is very keen to get Cousins in the hope that his young onball brigade can develope quicker with him in the guts.

I think looking at the dons side we look good for the future no doubt about that but we may now look to young. We have the Lloyd, Lucas and Fletcher but we dont have an elder senior that has experienced success in the middle, i think the dons could do with him. Im looking at a 2010 top 4 with cuzzy in side and 2011 last year for Cousin, Crawford like year and dons win premiership with cousins swinging his arm around and saying you bloody beauty.

He is off our radar, not because of his illness, we just wouldn't recruit a 30-year-old. I believe Ben has got to be given a chance and I think he will be and a club will pick him up and he'll probably be a star. But Matthew Knights wouldn't recruit a 30-year-old whether it be Ben Cousins or Joe Blow or John Coleman reincarnated.

The problem is that if the AFL accepts Richmond's submission, the other clubs will be disadvantaged as a result of this late submission. A way to overcome it is:
