confession. would love to see him back in the blue and gold
Signing with Port Melbourne.
Plans only to train at this stage.
Gees what a scoop.
Did you get that from the back page of the herald sun by any chance?
classicMaybe Melbourne give Cousins one million for a one year contact and get him through the pre season draft and then bet a million at $12 to get out of debt.
dons are keen again.
watch this space.
im guessing you just read the report that we are open to mature age recruits and assumed that meant we are keen on cousins?
we have already ruled out cousins, as much as i would like him in an essendon jumper it will never be
Actually, that's not quite correct. When asked if they would entertain the idea of drafting Cousins, the club said it was UNLIKELY as they were focussing on youth. It would appear that objective has been ticked, with the Dons having the youngest list now.
Word is Knights is very keen to get Cousins in the hope that his young onball brigade can develope quicker with him in the guts.
I hope he does play again. I reckon 99.9% of people do. Unfortunalty the 0.01% seem to be the coaches, boards and sponsors.
^^ no they havnt actually said that
Ray Horsburgh said:He is off our radar, not because of his illness, we just wouldn't recruit a 30-year-old. I believe Ben has got to be given a chance and I think he will be and a club will pick him up and he'll probably be a star. But Matthew Knights wouldn't recruit a 30-year-old whether it be Ben Cousins or Joe Blow or John Coleman reincarnated.
its the rule deal with it
clubs are only complaining as richmond may take another player
who they wanted in the rookie draft
even tho they will be likely picking up cousins
who no1 was going to pikc anyway
