No, it means he is the Brownlow Medallist this year. Read into that what you will.

Seriously an umpires award means squat. If he won the MVP then he is a true champion.

Not some glorified award for midfielders only.

You really think so. But saying that the umpires will win it for you - again.

Oh well fizzer of a win and night only amplified by Ben Cousin excitement at wiining the midfielders award.

yawn.

you sound tired and cranky, go get your Blankey and have a lie down. :p

The coaches or the players one?

Did this apply when Goodes snag a Brownlow?

or when Paul Kelly undeservedly fell arse backwards into one?

Mate the swans have won 13 of this things. No big deal. I just think its an over rated award.

I thought Barry Hall was a bit stiff not to poll in some games, but 13 votes is still a fair number.

It's so boring seeing the winner interviewed by videoconference, remember Judd last year? That was a great interview by Quarters, Judd was on fire that night. Why don't the teams fly to Melbourne a day earlier to attend the count?

Why should we or any other team outside melbourne playing in the gf?

Here's a novel idea. Let's have it in Perth next year? Or Adelaide?

Well done Ben. It was an enthralling finish, I did not expect Kerr to be the one running up to the champ. Scott West finishing in the top 4 is no suprise, would have made a deserving winner had the umpires seen it that way. As Ben said, he will tell you in 5 days if this is the best week of his life.

Well done Cousins, you are a worthy winner.

Bad luck to Kerr, he looked so disappointed.

Congratulations to Ben Cousins a true champion of our sport! What a legend!

Bad luck for Kerr but he might have one before he is done too...all of a sudden the umpires are noticing his brilliant work out there so he could be a show next year and in coming years.

But Cuz...what a champ.
