Just reading the posts on Ando. I have played with him for a cpl of seasons and have found him to be a good player. He is not the toughest bloke I have ever played with but have always found that he goes when it is his turn. Would like to think I had some part in gettong him out there. He has been to all trainings bar 1 and has also taken some drills and is helping some of the young blokes out with there kicking. Would think from Tatongs point of view that he has been a very good pickup.

On another note can people from other clubs tell us where they would like to go if the BDFNL folded ie:KDFNL or O&K or any other league

With affiliation fees and apart from some occasional advice and a free lunch, what happens with the money that goes to the VCFL? I dont know how much each teams pays but it would be significant based on the size of the clubs on a yearly basis.

The VCFL will come out with a plan about where all clubs will be placed in coming years which may or may not suit.

As an alternative have a rebel league next year and invite all teams in the areas to join.You only need to get 3 teams to make it worthwhile with 5 existing. Teams will need big injection of money if they are to even slightly compete in O&K or KDFL. Only other option is new league which VCFL would be loath to do as this would take some effort.

Yeh- as if the League fees aren't enough, you get the VCFL wanting their slice also. But contact them and they will offer some lame excuse for needing so much money out of fotty clubs mainly for insurance. Just like the assistance we get from the AFL - P I S S W E A K

What about G'Bat... they looked alright last week.
And with talk about where would clubs go if B&D folded... well
some people need to have a good look around, clubs in b&d are stronger than some of those in o&k. You are looking at clubs in o&k that don't have 3rds, struggle to turn up with a reserves side and are running out of $$$$$ real fast. I think if B&D were clever, they could attract a few into their league, say Glenrowan,Blacks and even north wang. All still local.

Can 100% guarantee you that is far from the case,our club is in a financial rebuilding phase and we spend bugger all on players,most of our melbourne guys dont get a red cent but those that drive their cars get fuel provided,as far as the locals,we dont pay any and for the likes of the euroa boys that would also be zip.We as a club are very fortunate that we dont pay a coach or our assistant in Jack Smyth,this l can guarantee.

went to the gbat and swanny game on wend and thought that swanpool were hopeless, even with gbat having like 6 players out. they will really need to improve this week if they are even gonna get close to losing by a hundred points to tatong
with tatong expecting 5 more players in and very good players too. SO i think Tatong will win by 120 points and gbat to beat bonnie doon in a good game of footy, but if bonnie doon get physical with gbat i think thtey will crumble.

If VT can afford to pay great and good on the club for getting better players but dont sprout crap about not paying or it may come back to bite you very quickly..... Locals get very upset when they find these things out by default........
