I see Wil Moran is returning to Castlemaine from Sandhurst. It is a healthy sign for the club seeing guys like him and Zavier Murley from Golden Square 'going home'.

While not big name recruits, they are capable senior players who will give the club much needed depth which is really important.

Looking at the exits and recruits Maine need another 6-7 $700-$1000 players to make finals

That’s just reality

Who are the exits?

You can't just buy success, with Hartley and a few others, maybe it fast tracks and develops young locals quicker, gives them a bit of confidence, I think they need a big bodied mid and fwd to play finals this year

I’d rather them do it this way, hopefully a build that is long term instead of a short sharp burst with lots of cash thrown around and then back to where they were. They improved a lot last year and Hartley nows what his in for. Good signs I reckon.

The league have approved an application from the Maiden Gully/YCW Junior Football club to field an under 18’s team this season

Without consultation with the clubs no doubt - what a disaster

Hearing Gisborne very close to annoucing 4 A Grade interstate recruits

If this is to eventuate, they are morals to win the flag in what will be the weakest comp in decades.

Speaking of morals. It’s a moral to be an 8 team comp this year…. Announcement imminent

Jesus fresh you are up and about - if Ramsay is coming back to gizzy he will bring massive energy - are you saying the goose is finally cooked with Maryborough ? May be why the board is so keen to get the maiden gully 18s side in ?

Believe he has signed at north Adelaide

Reading in todays addy does anybody really know what went on at Golden Square.
Don't think we will ever get to know. Chris Carter for one must be wondering what happened.

It is very strange. A premiership normally unites a club. I don't think last year's flag is going to be remembered as fondly as others.

Square will make the finals again. They still have a base of very good players from last year a some very good recruits. To me the question for them this year is how deep they will go into the finals.

From what I gather the club thought there were issues that couldn't be resolved going forward, the had been on going. How true this is, is another thing, there has to unity to win a flag, but it sounds like Justin Langer removal from afar.

Brad Eaton has been a magnificent footballer across Victoria and a very good coach as well, people tend to forget that, I'm sure he'll do a very good job.

Bernie hwberman left square similar to carter, so they are a ruthless club

After Square won five premierships in a row I think any coach that didn't win a premiership was considered a dud.

I’m not doubting for 1 second he has had a terrific career as player and coach.
Was more to the point of the nature of the post, given criticism given to other posts made on here that have been shot down as baseless rumours.
A little hypocritical in my opinion.
Some things posted on here in the past few months I know to be 100% true - just because they don’t make it into the public sphere (go in an article in the Addy), or that said things don’t suit certain narratives, doesn’t mean they aren’t true.

Fresh what more do you have on the Maryborough situation ? Surely if they are in strife everyone could rally around them and assist ? Is the BFNL just going to let them die ?? Or learn from their mistakes ?

BFNL are like Officer Barbrady from South Park ... move along, there's nothing to see here!

So who are the new recruits coming into the Bendigo league. Any names please
Honestly struggling to name many A graders, there’s been about 10 guns leave the league though. Ferg Greene is one of the better recent recruits in the league. Hartley and Huntly are big ins for Castlemaine and I believe Cardillo is a gun for gisborne.
