Just stick to footy
I agree but it wasn’t Crazy who started making it personal.
Too much playing the man when you can’t rebut the opinion goes on here
Grow up. You Castlemaine blokes are seriously horrendous to interact on here 9 times out of 10. Stick to talking about footy or telling everyone how hard done by Castlemaine are. Leave the personal crap out of it. As my grandmother would say if you don’t have anything nice to say don’t say anything at all.I can hold my head high when I walk down the street Roota - I’m not sure you can !

I’ve no idea what any of this is about…. but plenty of people in this forum say things that others might not find nice.Grow up. No way will Moama join the Bendigo LeagueI’ve no idea what any of this is about…. but plenty of people in this forum say things that others might not find nice.
Now, back to more important things - my mailman tells me Moama are 50-1 and drifting in relation to their chances of wanting to join the Bendigo league. There have been a few private chuckles post discussions with headquarters, as compared to meetings they’ve had with another league.
The realisation that the BFL was governed by sock puppets may have been the catalyst for reconsidering their options.I actually thought bendigo were saying this was as good as done ? What’s happened? Was it the fact that a senior team played on the wrong points all year ? Then it was covered up ?

Very interesting watch,
One of the greats of country footy, would have played more vfl if he wasn't a country boy and I'd imagine he got better paid in the country, especially at Boort in 81 and 82 and northern United in the mid 80sMost of you won't remember this guy but in the 1970's he made an already very strong Golden Square team almost invincible.
As someone that does remember Tony, what I found interesting in watching this interview, (which was really well done), is that he almost coached South Bendigo.
It would be good to see more of this sort of stuff.
He and Ron Best were BFL legends. I think Best was with him at Northern United? Not sure about Boort. One of the greats of country footy, would have played more vfl if he wasn't a country boy and I'd imagine he got better paid in the country, especially at Boort in 81 and 82 and northern United in the mid 80s
Always ready to jump on the Broadford bashing bus. Which I totally get mind you.The current unstable environment of the BFNL is a determining factor! The GV instantly gains a rivalry with the Moama V Echuca clash and the Broadford circus does not help matters.
Yes they were also at Boort together. He and Ron Best were BFL legends. I think Best was with him at Northern United? Not sure about Boort.
Peter Moroni in a similar basket, albeit a little earlier than Southcombe. And Oliver a little later - the country life won the battle over the bright city lights of the big smoke. One of the greats of country footy, would have played more vfl if he wasn't a country boy and I'd imagine he got better paid in the country, especially at Boort in 81 and 82 and northern United in the mid 80s
Derek filo also could have played vfl/afl footyPeter Moroni in a similar basket, albeit a little earlier than Southcombe. And Oliver a little later - the country life won the battle over the bright city lights of the big smoke.
I was about to make the same comment Trent. Derrick Filo, Ron Best & Peter Moroni are all time Bendigo Football greats. Just magnificent players who, if they wanted to, could have played at the highest level.Derek filo also could have played vfl/afl footy
Without doubt he could have. Bob Beare from Kyneton/Heathcote another one - Sheedy pestered him for years to head to Windy Hill. He had no interest in going down, despite being a die hard Essendon supporter. Tony Kelly had a year or 2 in the VFL, at Collingwood if I recall correctly.I was about to make the same comment Trent. They also played over 1,000 games between them and in that time not one of them would have thrown a punch or done anything untoward on the field.
Without doubt would have been highly paid. While acknowledging his coaching record he undoubtably was fortunate that the sides which won flags were stacked with some of the best talent that money could buy. Boorts 81/82 side remains possibly one of the best teams assembled in country vic.One of the greats of country footy, would have played more vfl if he wasn't a country boy and I'd imagine he got better paid in the country, especially at Boort in 81 and 82 and northern United in the mid 80s
They snuck one in and stopped the Demons from getting 4 in a row.Without doubt would have been highly paid.
