Are they clearing monti ?
Don’t think contracts are worth what they’re written on at this level from all reports. Are they clearing monti ?
They are if the club wants them to be, but sometimes it’s better shaking hands and still having a good relationship.Don’t think contracts are worth what they’re written on at this level from all reports.
Totally agreeThey are if the club wants them to be, but sometimes it’s better shaking hands and still having a good relationship.
If that occurs more chance of the player returning down the track.

That was a great watch and tribute to Derrick.
Dekka shared some pretty honest thoughts about the BFL currently and the loss of Maryborough (hopefully not permanently) and Kyneton.
Probably win them a few games but big question will be if any can play finals which would be unlikely wouldn’t itEaglehawk really loading up with VFL players who will only have very limited availability….will be interesting see how it plays out
I just caught up on the media release about the change at board level. I’m guessing they expected nobody to read it? Thanking the outgoing board member for the leagues growth and development (2 teams gone), and financial expertise (we’re still waiting for last years financial results). How deep can heads go in the sand?
As a born and bred, and former Broadford participant I take offence to thatWe also need to remember this board is complicit in the pie in the sky proposal to admit Broadford in order to expand and improve the standard of Bendigo football. Realistically they all need to go and a new board needs to be elected (doesn’t seem to work like that unfortunately).
Given his long standing dedication to the BFL , his advice to leave the AFL shouldn’t go unnoticed. That was a fantastic watch, and the last 5 minutes pretty much sums up most people’s thoughts on points system/ salary cap and afl Victoria’s handling of local footy
It’s how community footy is now being ruled . AFL makes decisions and tell commission / league boards to enforce as if it were their own decision .As a born and bred, and former Broadford participant I take offence to that
Saying that I've caught up on a lot of reading since reactivating and it's hard not to sit and question the roles the fee paying clubs have/haven't played and/or accepted to this point in time.
If you're paying annual fee's to people who are supposed to run and rule a competition in the best interests of it's major stakeholders, then someone has fallen asleep at the wheel if the stakeholders concerns or desires are not even acknowledged.
The fact you all, as member clubs weren't allowed to vote on said contentious issue above is a massive red flag IMO.
Puppets then - and concerning if that's the case that folk are willing to sit on a board that doesn't align with their values, opinions or heavens forbid their individual moral compass. It’s how community footy is now being ruled . AFL makes decisions and tell commission / league boards to enforce as if it were their own decision .
It’s highly likely no individual from the BFL board thinks or has ever thought Broadford entering is / was a good idea .
Unfortunately league boards are the scape goats .
