Its now getting ridiculous.

No arms pinned. No 2nd action. No slamming. No force. And they only hit the ground because the umpire took forever to blow their whistle and the Swans player made zero effort to protect himself.

Cannot even be a fine.
You don't see Berry holding onto Hayward's right hand?

Both Hayward's hands are on the ball as they are falling. Hayward made no effort to protect himself.
That's not answering the question. Yes, the ball is in Hayward's right arm, and his hand is on the ball. But his hand is also held firmly by Berry and he can't use that arm in the fall. His left arm is free though, so I don't think Berry has an issue.

You do realise that a hand on something doesnt necessarily mean its pinned.

Hayward's hands were both free before they hit the ground. He made zero effort to protect himself. Possibly deliberately to get a free kick - which more and more players are now starting to do.

Off to Specsavers for you, Hairy. Hit up naysayers anonymous while you're out.

Absolutely nothing in it. The Swans player contributes more to the spin than the tackle due to trying to shrug it. Great tackle. Berry could have absolutely driven him into the ground as they would have previously. He makes a concerted effort to make an effective and safe tackle and still gets bloody pined. Players, umps, fans and commentators alike all have no idea now thanks to the afl.

Lol the AFL is cooked

The spinning action comes from Hayward trying to escape the tackle
Was as bad a decision as Rampe deliberate OOB or the non call on Wilmot walking the ball over the boundary.

This is the result of all the lawsuits over concussions. **** the AFL lets have a super league war.

Looks like the test case we need right now tbh.

If he rightly gets off, it will be a good precedent for other clubs to use when their players are also unreasonably reported.

If he gets a week, we know for sure that the game is going through a very significant transformation.

You just know Berry will get a week for this, then some massive sling tackle will happen in a PF and nothing.

Dangerfield will do a tombstone piledriver on a player in the elimination final and line up the next week.

Could probably have gone with an NRL style hip-drop tackle to lower the risk of the head hitting the ground (although Hayward's knees and ankles may not have gotten through unscathed).
