I don't mind Scrimshaw at CHF. On the few occasions he has been thrown forward, he has looked dangerous. Doubt it will happen, but IMO the only things seriously wrong with your team is the spelling of Maginness. Not saying this will happen but is what I’d like.
Battle Barrass Hardwick
Sicily Frost Impey
Amon Newc Mas
Ginni Scrim Moore
Wiz Chol McDonald
Meek Worpel Day
Weddle Nash Ward McKenzie McGuinness
Weddle’s too good to start on the bench. Not saying this will happen but is what I’d like.

The latter for mine. Scaife or Ramma would need to improve significantly across this preseason to be pushing up to that level. Hope they do but without them Dear and Lewis there are already multiple options using proven players. Weddle an option too. It’s exciting and unpredictable. With Lewis definitely and Calsh most likely not playing round one (or is there any update on the latter?), how likely is it that Sammy will throw Scaife (or maybe even Ramma) to the wolves in round one, or is a makeshift tall forward line more likely, taken from the likes of Chol, Gunners, Sic and Battle?
Agree, I'd say Chol, Gunston + options of Battle, Sicily, Weddle and maybe a surprise of Serong, Scrimshaw or Frost up forward. The latter for mine. 2 years ago it was Fergus Greene and Jacob Koschitzke.Chol - regular forward
Gunston - regular forward
Sicily - backman who has competently played AFL football as a
forward
Battle - backman who has competently played AFL football as a forward.
Nothing “makeshift” about that.
Would be more of a surprise if Scaife or Ramsden were selected before rolling one of Sicily or Battle forward given their experience and versatility.
That’s incredible isn’t it. Clarko had well and truly jumped the shark.2 years ago it was Fergus Greene and Jacob Koschitzke.
I'm talking 2023 Sam Mitchell in his 2nd year coaching when Fergus was recruited. Don't get me wrong Fergus deserved his spot in the side, but he wasn't a key forward. That’s incredible isn’t it. Clarko had well and truly jumped the shark.
He definitely deserved a spot sinve our only other forward was Kosi who was next to useless.I'm talking 2023 Sam Mitchell in his 2nd year coaching when Fergus was recruited. Don't get me wrong Fergus deserved his spot in the side, but he wasn't a key forward.
Breust, Luke 2.372 goals per whole game based on % game timeNo offence to Punky who has been a star for our club but at this stage of their careers it's pretty obvious Wiz is picked over Punky every day of the week (nothing to do with development the Wiz is just better).
I remember a game (down in Tassie I think) where Fergus was our tallest forward line player at a whopping 187cm!I'm talking 2023 Sam Mitchell in his 2nd year coaching when Fergus was recruited. Don't get me wrong Fergus deserved his spot in the side, but he wasn't a key forward.
Sure, but Bruest is no longer capable for playing full games. When you are the sub so often, it skews the stats. Much easier to come on and go nuts for 30 minutes rather than play a whole game.Breust, Luke 2.372 goals per whole game based on % game time

What is the thinking behind Croc on a wing?B: Impey, Barras, Scrimshaw

Which is it? You seem to praise Fergus and then call him useless…He definitely deserved a spot sinve our only other forward was Kosi who was next to useless.
Hard to argue although I don’t see Ward playing given his illness they may ease him in via box hill. Suspect CJ is the player you are missing.B: Impey, Barras, Scrimshaw

Also Bruest is pretty much just a goal scoring specialist these days, not like in his prime when he was very good at the defensive side.Sure, but Bruest is no longer capable for playing full games. When you are the sub so often, it skews the stats. Much easier to come on and go nuts for 30 minutes rather than play a whole game.
Of course he's capable of playing whole games. He was injured for the bulk of last season. Fully fit, he's had 237 preseasons, he's got the tank.Sure, but Bruest is no longer capable for playing full games. When you are the sub so often, it skews the stats. His agility has been diminishing for more than one season. Even is 2023 he kicked a good amount of goals, his pressure was way down.Of course he's capable of playing whole games. He was injured for the bulk of last season. Fully fit, he's had 237 preseasons, he's got the tank.
Given his illness? He was sick for like a week. Hardly rules him out for the OR.Hard to argue although I don’t see Ward playing given his illness they may ease him in via box hill. Suspect CJ is the player you are missing.
