I see nothing on google about him being out of contract. Looking like 2023 is correct.

If anyone has Jones over Windhager or Owens in there side I suggest you start watching St. Kilda games if you want to call yourself a Saints fan.
Mind boggling that our fans want us to improve as a side but want mediocre footballers playing for us and not talented youngsters. I read the same crap in here constantly year after year.. It's so embarrassing and drives me crazy.

I'm happy he got games early even if he was (lets be honest) being carried a bit. Good on ratts for persisting through the 5-12 touch games and then letting him build confidence. He finished very strongly genuinely contributing to the team through his run with roles and earned a rising star nomFor much of the season i thought Windhager was promising, but very low impact.
I would not have considered him best 22 under those circumstances.
It was only when he started getting a run with role he started helping us win games ( did we win any ) and became a best 22 player.
He'll be wanting to displace Brad Hill for the half back role or Owens for the tagging forward role if he wants to keep his spot.Long is just a battler imo. One good game in a dead rubber and people fall over themselves to proclaim him the next Jack Sinclair.
In the event we land DeGoey and Bruhn our drafting options will open up.I like Busslinger but would not go for a KPD with a first rounder. We need so many pieces and the defence looks solid enough as is. I'd be looking at mids and a small forwards. Maybe chase a tall with one of the later picks.
The chances of Nasiah being gone would be 100-1 if not lessSo. Assuming Hill, Nas, Long and Bytel gone and JDG in:
FB: Paton, Howard, Wilkie
HB: Sinclair, Battle, Coff
C: Wood, Steele, Dmac
R: Marshall, Crouch, Windy
HF: Gresh, Membrey , JDG
FF: Higgins, King, Hayes
Int: Ross, Clark, Owens, Coops
Emergency: Campbell, Highmore, Jones (sub), Butler
doesn't it depend on the deal? The chances of Nasiah being gone would be 100-1 if not less
Gut instinct is Hill and Bytel gone Long stays. The other interesting one is Jones.doesn't it depend on the deal?
Happy if he stays.
So you think the other four changes will happen?!?
Great!
Don't care about anything else.
Just want to see:
A. Gresh and Sincs in at every centre bounce alongside Steele and Crouch.
B. Ratts throwing chaosball in the bin and spending the pre-season teaching the whole 22 a repeatable system which involves passing to forwards on a lead.
You know.. like good teams do.
Which one of those four is in the ruck?
I feel like next year we need to give some game time to Connelly, Bytel, Sharman, Peris, Highmore etc.
We can't trot out the same 22 each week that's not been getting the job done. Time to see if these guys have got what it takes and if not move them on.
I hope Ratts is a bit more experimental with his 22 (Not too much that it unsettles the team but enough to keep everyone honest)
What a load of absolute bollocks.
You think players come in sardine cans, you open it up, and you can tell if they are a good player or not.
For starters you included Peris, who is a project player. He's showing heaps of potential, we do not need to "see what he's got " then get rid of him ( because he won't be winning games for us yet ).
Connelly. Yes. He seemed to go backwards a bit this year, or at least not improve much.
Bytel. If he's going to make a mark, it needs to be next year , hopefully for us.
Sharman. Has had gametime.
Highmore. The same old guys HAVE been getting their job done, and they are stopping Highmore getting in, and maybe Coffield ( you forgot him didn't you) will as well.
If we do indeed lose Hill, Clark and Long, I reckon JB squeezes into our best 22 lolFB: Paton, Howard, Coffield
HB: Sinclair, Battle, Wilkie
C: Nas, Steele, Dmac
R: Marshall, Crouch, Ross
HF: Higgins, Sharman, Gresh
FF: Butler, King, Membrey
Bench: Hill, Windy, Owens, Hayes
Makeup is:
Small Defenders: Paton, Wilkie
Tall Defenders: Howard, Wilkie, Battle
Intercept Defenders: Coffield, Wilkie, Battle, Sharman(?)
Rebounders: Sinclair, Nas, Hill, Coffield
Inside Mids: Steele, Windy, Owens, Gresh, Ross, Crouch
Outside Mids: Dmac, Nas, Hill, Ross, Sinclair, Owens, Windy?
Taggers: Steele(in case of emergency), Windy, Owens, Ross
Forward Mids: Windy, Owens, Gresh, Steele
Ruck: Marshall, Hayes
Crumbing Small Forwards: Butler, Higgins, Gresh
Tall Forwards: King, Sharman, Membrey, Hayes, Marshall
Tagging Forward: Owens, Sharman
If we do indeed lose Hill, Clark and Long, I reckon JB squeezes into our best 22 lol

Will Hayes be back by round one?
