WCE people may argue they get a good deal as well as they used this pick for Daniel Kerr.

Great result all round.

Turned out a good deal all round, id hate to think how badly we wouldve been stiffed if we hadnt picked up Kerr though ;)

Sierokawski is irrelevant in this deal..

I agree this deal was awsome for both clubs...

i know what the best trade ever was

clint bizzel to melbourne for brent grgic (easily the worst player i have ever seen pull on a afl jumper...well maybe i wont go that far)

Troy Makepeace Pick 80
Corey Jones Pick 60

Daniel Wells pick 2 (How much better does Goddard look in a Saints jumper, Wells in Blue and white, then either would in Navy Blue!!)

Was that a straight swap?

James Hird was drafted with Pick no. 55 (I think). I think that makes that the best draft steal ever!

Melbourne supporters like to think so.

The deal was Bizzell and a large contract for pick 17 (James Kelly) and pick 41 (Henry Playfair).

Grgic was traded for pick 55 in a seperate trade which Melbourne used to draft Brad Miller.

Pick 79 actually.

Id say dean kemp at pick 112

I would think that getting a legend of the game with a list of accoldes as long as both your arms and one of your legs at pick no. 79 is better value than a run of the mill 200 gamer at 112.

Lloyd would have to go close.

The Dons gave up I think 5 players including Delaney - the only one I can remember who played any games for the Dockers - and look what they got in return.

I think realistically we have narrowed it down to a 2 man race between Grant and Hird, both champions, however, I believe that Hird's Brownlow, Norm Smith and couple of Premierships nudge him into the lead. Then again, Grant went 20 odd picks lower, opinions fellas??
