Media threads are one of the fundamental parts of the Sweet FA. While the league revolves around match threads and the infamous sim, most of the personality that our community consists of comes from media threads.
Currently, pretty much the only recognition that authors of good media threads receive are some little comments by suck up posters or in the mid season survey, these things just don’t do the backbone of our league justice.
So, to acknowledge the creativity it takes to create a good media thread, I ask you to click the link below to vote for your favourite S30 Media Thread. I could have just done a poll, but that would be harder to corrupt, and what’s the fun in that?
The author of the thread with the most votes will receive a special something (to be revealed later) as well as bragging rights.
Votes must be in by 6pm (Vic Bias time) on Sunday December 13th. Any votes after won’t be counted.
One more thing, don’t vote for yourself - it’s annoying and something TJASTA would do. (Your vote won’t be counted either)

The votes are in, with some interesting results. (I won’t make this too long of a rant like the mid season survey.)
Overall, the I recieved 28 votes - 7 of which were not counted due to things like to votes for threads that don’t exist - including this absolute knee slapper by my comedian vice-captain
“Media is for stupid SFA nerds”

Players voting for themselves was also not allowed, poor old TJASTA must not have gotten the message about that as he ended up voting for himself three times.
Out of the two newly marked “Certified Legendary Threads”, “#scandal” didn’t recieve a single vote. #NotThePeoplesLegendaryThread
Now it’s time for the graph and the final results
As you can see, Tigerturbulance had the most votes convincingly, a third of responses decided that his podcast thread “Turbo’s Torch” was the best S30 Media Thread.
Heres what a couple of the voters had to say about their favourite thread
“Great series of podcasts with a range of guests” - SM
“I was on it : )” - Bastyy
The Spitcoal Medal by Rodney Dangerfield was second most popular with voters. 30 from 30 by SM and The Sweet F.A in 4 Minutes, 10 Seconds - Celebrating 30 Seasons by Hate tied for third.
Congratulations Tigerturbulance on being the inaugural winner of the “Best Media Thread” award, well deserved. You’ll receive a shiny new medal sooner or later.
Another thankyou to all of those who voted, and gave turbo and the other media thread posters the recognition they deserve.
