Also just to spend each month and keep more money in offset longer to transfer over without any interest on the cc. They can have their advantages

Yep.

And it isn't your money, whereas with a debit card it is. So if someone does a large fraudulent transaction on your debit card, you can be out of pocket for quite some time until they figure out what happened.

they are classified as cash advances. You would have got slogged with big fees to use a credit card to deposit with bookies.
