Just had a look at their draw later on in the year. Already 2 wins out of the 8 currently.

RD18 - Carlton
RD19 - Geelong
RD20 - Sydney
RD 21 - Melbourne
RD 22- Adelaide
RD 23- North
RD 24 - GWS

Matthew Lloyd is correct.

He ****s around with the team for the first half of the season and then suddenly picks the right team for the last half and comes home with a wet sail.

I can't see it happening this season though with players like Daniel,McCrae and a few more already having one foot out the door.

JUH would be considered to be at least in the class of Hayward.

Well, English IS your 1st ruck…perhaps that’s my point.

* Ack I confused Sam Darcy with Taylor Durea - Sam Darcy is inconsistent as a fwd.
- atm.

Given Treloar’s reputation, I disagree.

Regards your last two points -Sometimes looking at something with a clear lense from 100 metres is better than the naked eye clouded in tears and wishful thinking.

Jamarra is a gun no doubt but his finishing is horrendous. In all honesty he probably should have 50 more goals to his career so far, he's left that many out on the park.

Sam Darcy has played 7 games this year with at least one in every match so far. Not a bad return for someone with 14 career games?

What exactly is Treloar's reputation? Before he got to the dogs, it was downhill skier, one way runner, selfish. None of which have been evidenced by his time at the dogs. Kane tried to run with this with selected video editing which was debunked with full vision. If anything, Treloar has more than adequately put up his end of the bargain.

There's no wishful thinking and tears here, Dog's are a mess and it starts from the coaching box.

I don't under how so many people can rate so many teams as great... people say Melbourne has a once-in-a-generation list, Collingwood has a marvellous list, Geelong has a terrific list, Richmond had a once-in-a-lifetime list... you can't have every team being that good. I've not rated the Dogs highly for the last few years, even though Bont is a champion. I was so happy for them that they got a flag, but that's a great result for a team that hasn't had the most talented list for a long time. Their position on the ladder in recent years has been around what I'd expect them to be.

I may have been misled into thinking Treloar was better than he actually is. He just doesn’t seem to impact games from what I’ve seen, which admittedly isn’t a huge amount.

Not sure that return from Darcy will be enough to get you into the finals.

Anyhow..I can’t see why people rate your list, it’s made up of a couple of guns, newbs, guys out of form and a couple of ‘never was’s’.

Surprised to hear Luke Hodge say similar today.

Just on Treloar he was highly rated at both Giants and Pies, as a brilliant goal scoring mid. He has had repeat injuries, which has cut him down to being a merely above average mid because he can't dominate 4 quarters.

To describe him as a down hill skier or selfish is plain wrong.

Pies offloaded him because we gave him (and a bunch of others) huge backended contracts because we were certain we were one kick away from a flag. The expected salary cap increase never happened and he was exited like Grundy and others, a high value player we over paid on a gamble.

Treloar has been a fantastic pickup and his output as a player has been just as good as it was at the Pies.

He wouldn’t be far off leading our best and fairest this year.

I haven't seen much of the Dogs but it doesn't surprise me.

Perhaps the chaps above haven't seen as much of him as you.

The media want players to speak their mind and show their personality

Yet every time they do, said player gets slaughtered by the media
Agree. Moronic. Just mad because he did a better job than them, and wasn't even paid for it.

I actually thought we might be embracing being a league heel for a moment. But then Blab Scott went full "bad dog!" on Draper.

So I was correct - he's just not having an impact anymore.

1 coaches vote in round 2
10 in round 3

Nothing in rounds 1,4,5,6,7 & 8.

Like I said, he’s not having an impact - and if he’s leading your B&F…..he must have some great pictures of Bevo and Weightman. 😳

I'd say you're correct when you say you haven't seen enough of him: he's been in the coaches votes three times this year. I haven't watched him closely since he left the Pies either but he's done nothing to besmirch his reputation when I have seen him, and the merest glance at his stats backs this up.

Treloar is a top tier midfielder with injury problems, he has never been assessed as selfish or a downhill skier by anyone with an ounce of football knowledge: maybe Kane Cornes ran a little vendetta, he talks a lot of ****.

In my view he is importance is as an impact player, someone who blitzes for intense periods of dominance, but he is also an effective disposer, decent at getting it, and a fine finisher in front of goals.

The midfield doesn't seem to be the Dogs major problem, although balance might be. I think the Doggies ITT talking about defence are very persuasive, and maybe something is up with the coach. Hate to hear it, they have been a very attractive side to watch, and some very admirable players, especially the Bont.

He was our best in the 2021 GF too l. Couldn't have done much more that day.

Any truth to the rumour Port and Bulldogs are negotiating a swap of Coaches?
Starting point being Hinkley for Bevo and a future second rounder
All jokes aside this would benefit both clubs.
Both guys seem like they can coach but are just stale at their current clubs

You keep bashing away at my acknowledgment that Ihave ‘t seen a lot of the Dogs - yet the Coaches votes support my impression.

One thing I do know - he wasn’t an ‘impact player’ at Collingwood, or at the Dogs early on.

His form is patchy, like a number of your other ‘first 22’.

That said, I agree Bevo is a one trick pony - but your current list in it’s current form is in trouble.
