I believe it was an 2011ish WAFL press conference where I first heard that the losing team had been “taught a couple of learning lessons” and now it’s a full blown learnings epidemic.
It was the losing captain after the 2012 Foxtel Cup Grand Final.

On Sen, bob Murphy just announced this weekend will be the gf preview. Said he saw Collingwood play on the weekend, and thought they are definitely the second best side in the comp!
C’mon!!
Garry said he disagreed and thought west coast would make the gf and mentioned they only beat Collingwood at the mcg the week before.
Bob had no comeback.

I'm more surprised that Lyon remembered how well the Eagles are doing than that Murphy forgot we existed. Post should be in the insightful media thread.

It's hilarious that the media are now talking up Collingwood, GWS and Richmond as the three most likely to win. West Coast is the only team to have beaten all of the other three and none of them have beaten West Coast. If our form and fitness stays good for finals then I'm feeling very confident we can go all the way.

I don't mind this though. Happy for media identities to overlook us. The idea of 'GF previews' in Round 19 is ridiculous anyway - if the Pies get done by 9 goals they'll jump off as quickly as they jumped on.

I like that they are pumping those teams up and letting WC bubble in background.

What annoyed me on the coach was that flog ( forget his name but he does a small news around the AFL segment on the show) at the end talking about Gov going to a good team with Roo's going " What you dont think WC are a good team?" Said Flog roles his eyes and goes to say no and moves on quickly. Roo's had a look of bewilderment lol.

I like Bob but I think some Victorian twats conveniently forget that across the border teams exist, especially those from right out wild west way.

He’s probably just salty that the lad’s played an average game on the weekend and still smashed his trash club.

Another piece of brilliant journalism by BARRETT (that's the AFL capitalising his name)

Draft picks two (ladder position), three (compensation for loss of Lynch as a free agent), four or five or six (another club's traded pick in dealings over May), 21 (AFL granted priority pick) and 22 (ladder positioning) would all be headed to the Suns.

Hang on... I think the Suns may have made a trade last year...

She should be commentating over the likes of BT or even boundary riding over he likes on ling. She actually has a better connection with the players than most of these past players.

People who have fox wouldn't care but i think Channel 7 seriously need an commentary box overhaul.
I don't know that commentary would be Neroli's forte, but that doesn't make her any less of a legend. Her increasing profile in the last couple of years has been one of the few positives in the world of AFL coverage.
